    We stayed in room 218 which featured the smallest single beds I have ever seen. I had to remove plastic sheeting from under the bed sheet as this was causing me to make a loud rusting sound and slide around on the sheet all night. Sleeping on top of a plastic bag is not my idea of a 4 star experience! The room was small and very hot, the shutters to the balcony did not open fully. The air con didn’t work and would switch on or off. The room was very noisy for several reasons: Internal plumbing system from rooms either adjacent or above. Every time someone went to the loo or had a shower, the loud sound of water gushing through internal pipes could be heard in surround sound. This would continue all through the night and early hours of the morning. Housekeeping: shouting, communicating unnecessarily loudly and banging in the corridors from 7.30am daily with no consideration for sleeping guests. Maintenance: drilling and banging in the room below us Saturday morning 7.30am. Trees being cut down with industrial saws 7.30am Saturday morning! The Beach: advertised as private to the hotel - it is not, it is public. It was also closed in April. When I politely asked reception could we hire 2 towels to sit on the beach we were met with a firm No. As a 4 star hotel, customer service could have been enhanced by locating 2 towels for us. This was clearly too much trouble which was very disappointing. Breakfast was a strange mixture of food. I was not allowed to bring a glass of boiling water out of the restaurant with me and was told off! It’s a shame that a nice hotel was let down by poor and at times very petty customer service.

    We thought that this Hotel was superb in every way and could only have been improved if it had a swimming pool. The quality of the wholesale and its maintenance is extremely high and the staff are friendly and professional. The food is very good and the Seaview room we had was fantastic. There is a sauna steam room and Jacuzzi upstairs in the Spa available between one and 9 pm and the staff make you feel like you have booked in for a spa day. The location is fantastic. they’re a great bars nearby and there is a beach just outside.

    The hotel is as described and is recommended for cleanliness, location etc. but I suspect I might have experienced staff fatigue being at the end of the holiday season. No individual to point a finger at but a general malaise that resulted in a lack of staff in the restaurant, staff at breakfast taking longer than the toaster (and that takes forever) to find a clean coffee cup, front of house staff not able to process beyond the computer screen. Took nearly 4 days and an intervention from the holiday representative to resolve an issue that should have been dealt with on the spot. I would go back to Montenegro and this hotel but the following example was fairly typical. I found an out of town shopping park with a great restaurant and really great waiter (Ukrainian). In contrast, the shop assistant in one of the expensive designer outlets who was not likely to see many people all day, let alone make a sale, could not have been less interested or more unhelpful. How difficult is it to realise that a man generally needs at least some help comparing American female size L with an instruction to get size 12-14? Customer service in all areas was patchy to say the least.
