The hotel is as described and is recommended for cleanliness, location etc. but I suspect I might have experienced staff fatigue being at the end of the holiday season. No individual to point a finger at but a general malaise that resulted in a lack of staff in the restaurant, staff at breakfast taking longer than the toaster (and that takes forever) to find a clean coffee cup, front of house staff not able to process beyond the computer screen. Took nearly 4 days and an intervention from the holiday representative to resolve an issue that should have been dealt with on the spot. I would go back to Montenegro and this hotel but the following example was fairly typical. I found an out of town shopping park with a great restaurant and really great waiter (Ukrainian). In contrast, the shop assistant in one of the expensive designer outlets who was not likely to see many people all day, let alone make a sale, could not have been less interested or more unhelpful. How difficult is it to realise that a man generally needs at least some help comparing American female size L with an instruction to get size 12-14? Customer service in all areas was patchy to say the least.

This is a lovely Hotel which is well situated near the sea. Our 'Sea View' room was lovely but the title was a bit of a stretch as to see the sea you'd have to go onto the balcony and look to the right! The room was small but generally comfortable although it was very odd to find that there was a plastic cover on the mattrass which rustled as we turned over! Breakfast was good though the coffee was too weak for me. Reception staff were courteous and helpful.

Me and my wife enjoyed a one-week stay at this hotel recently and, in summary, I'd say it's a brilliant hotel, in a superb location, in a beautiful country. We had a superior room with sea view (the room had a small balcony) and it was fabulous waking up each morning to a stunning view of the bay and the mountains. The hotel is fantastic and the staff are extremely helpful and polite. Breakfast was really good, always plenty of choice and always fresh. The location is superb, the bars/restaurants start virtually next door and it's only a 5 minute walk to the marina. Around the hotel there is a large choice of bars and restaurants, all with excellent views of the bay and mountains. We did some brilliant trips including the Lady of the Rocks, the blue caves, Kotor, Perast, the cable car and the alpine coaster (I'd recommend them all). The hotel has it's own section of shingle beach and we never had an issue getting loungers and an umbrella (tip - take beach shoes because of the shingle, or you can buy them next door for 8.5 Euros). If you're thinking of booking this hotel, do it. It's a fabulous hotel, in a brilliant location. No complaints at all from us, one of our best holidays ever.

Firstly, this is a beautiful hotel with a perfect beach front location. The room was well equipped with a lovely sea view which we felt was worth the extra paid for it. The downside was that we had to fly back to the UK early as we had received bad news. While this was not the hotel’s fault, the way we were treated while our crisis unfolded wasn’t great and it would seem that the meaning of hospitality is lost on this place. My husband had ordered drinks just before I received a call from home that my mother had gone into cardiac arrest and wasn’t expected to survive the night. I was, of course, inconsolable, and wanted to return to the room for privacy rather than sit in tears in full view of other guests on the terrace. My husband explained the situation to staff in the lobby and said he needed to rush me upstairs and we’d pay for the drinks when we checked out, but despite explaining, we were met with hostile stares as we proceeded with the drinks to the elevator. We would have just left them behind, but we needed something strong to calm our nerves. Perhaps the member of staff tutting and staring disapprovingly didn’t understand what she had just been told as I can’t think of any other reason why she would act like this. Back in the room and desperately making phone calls to home and to flight operators to try to arrange return travel, we were hounded with calls from the hotel bar/ reception that we must immediately pay for the drinks we had taken to the room. We didn’t know why it was suddenly a policy as we’d been offered to add orders to the room previously when I’d forgotten my wallet. My husband didn’t want to leave me in the room on my own but had to go downstairs to pay the 12 euros just to stop us being pestered. He explained the situation again on making payment but met with barely any acknowledgment. He then asked for a taxi to be booked for the morning. Unfortunately, upon arriving at reception with our cases the next morning, we found that the lady behind the desk knew nothing about a pre-arranged taxi so proceeded to book another one. This was obviously slightly concerning as time was ticking and we desperately needed to get to the airport for a flight we had only just managed to secure. We sat in the armchairs opposite the reception desk expecting that the lady would let us know when the taxi was ready. We waited about 15 minutes only to find that there must have been a misunderstanding as no taxi was coming. Why it had not occurred to the woman to double check if she hadn’t understood our request we don’t know - she would have seen us sat in front of her waiting patiently with our cases. By this point we just wanted to leave the hotel as we were so exasperated with the place, so we walked a little way up to a taxi rank we had noticed the day before in the town. Sadly we will not choose to stay here again as we think it has a lot to learn about how to treat people. It was the least of our worries at the time, but we lost a day of our holiday so did not eat the breakfast we had pre-paid for or used the room or facilities, yet we were treated like criminals for taking 12 euros worth of drinks to our room in the middle of a crisis. Giving the benefit of the doubt, perhaps there was a language barrier (we are English), but we really feel we should have been treated with more courtesy.

Hotel location lovely. And with the pebble beach is still great location wise just a 5 min walk to Montenegro port. Downside the room was very small and we could not unpack Our suitcases and being 6ft I could not fit in the shower. Time keeping big problem. They close the breakfast door bang on 10. They knock on your door at midday checkout. They don’t service the bar after 11pm and they don’t allow you to use the beach until your room is ready. One thing I could not get my head around was that you could not take a coffee from breakfast although they gave you disposable cups, maybe they just wanted to cut down on washing up. I’m in hospitality and they need to realise that customers are their future.
