We have just returned from a 4 night break and the hotel was just embarking into the summer season. The hotel is in a prime location with its own private beach. The service on the beach was first class/excellent. Attentive friendly service from the beach attendant. Beach towels provided and taken to your chosen sunbed. Also waiter service on beach if drinks required. There is also a nice bar next door that do take out drinks/cocktails for the beach. I recommend to take swim shoes as very pebbly when entering sea which is beautifully clear. The spa is also lovely to finish the day off (sauna, steam, pool/jacuzzi) The rooms are basic, small but very clean and contemporary. My aircon was good but my son’s room failed to cool down so they moved them after 2 sleepless nights. Breakfast is very basic and not to 4* standard. Lots of local cuisine. Evening meal was the biggest let down so I would recommend to do B and B or room only (plenty of bars and coffee shops to get a light breakfast on the front). Tivat is wonderful, stylish and easy to get around. The views are stunning and plenty to do. Boat trips, walks to nearby beaches, very stylish port with designer boutiques and upmarket restaurants. I would recommend this hotel mainly fo location and setting. I

Flew into Dubrovnik, plain sailing driving through to Montenegro through border control. 2.5 hrs journey time there and less than 2 hrs coming back. Beautiful location of hotel overlooking the sea. Is clean , staff welcoming and friendly. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Has own private beach ,you get a sunbed,towel and umbrella..it was very quiet the 1st few days and then staff started to tick people off on a list to ensure that the only people on the beach were hotel guests. Didn't get any noise in/ around the hotel ...10 mins walk towards the Porte Montenegro, all along the sea front and pass a wide range of bars and restaurants..would recommend it here . Can imagine it'll get much busier as the months head into summer but end of May was a perfect option ( although we didn't realise that 21st/ 22nd May was a public holiday in Montenegro, traffic much busier on the roads so best to stay put in Tivat instead 😊)

Good location for main bus station and local cafes and bars. Staff are efficient and polite, hotel is spotless and modern. The air conditioner wasn’t working under 24 degrees due to it being still “winter here”. The room was very hot and uncomfortable due to lack of air conditioning, but survivable. Minor issue with Wi-Fi in room that staff sorted out very quickly, other than that all was good.

We stayed in room 218 which featured the smallest single beds I have ever seen. I had to remove plastic sheeting from under the bed sheet as this was causing me to make a loud rusting sound and slide around on the sheet all night. Sleeping on top of a plastic bag is not my idea of a 4 star experience! The room was small and very hot, the shutters to the balcony did not open fully. The air con didn’t work and would switch on or off. The room was very noisy for several reasons: Internal plumbing system from rooms either adjacent or above. Every time someone went to the loo or had a shower, the loud sound of water gushing through internal pipes could be heard in surround sound. This would continue all through the night and early hours of the morning. Housekeeping: shouting, communicating unnecessarily loudly and banging in the corridors from 7.30am daily with no consideration for sleeping guests. Maintenance: drilling and banging in the room below us Saturday morning 7.30am. Trees being cut down with industrial saws 7.30am Saturday morning! The Beach: advertised as private to the hotel - it is not, it is public. It was also closed in April. When I politely asked reception could we hire 2 towels to sit on the beach we were met with a firm No. As a 4 star hotel, customer service could have been enhanced by locating 2 towels for us. This was clearly too much trouble which was very disappointing. Breakfast was a strange mixture of food. I was not allowed to bring a glass of boiling water out of the restaurant with me and was told off! It’s a shame that a nice hotel was let down by poor and at times very petty customer service.

We thought that this Hotel was superb in every way and could only have been improved if it had a swimming pool. The quality of the wholesale and its maintenance is extremely high and the staff are friendly and professional. The food is very good and the Seaview room we had was fantastic. There is a sauna steam room and Jacuzzi upstairs in the Spa available between one and 9 pm and the staff make you feel like you have booked in for a spa day. The location is fantastic. they’re a great bars nearby and there is a beach just outside.
