Palmon Bay

Twin room when booked a Double, safe didn’t work, aircon was not functional no mini safe. Reception staff rude and uninterested. Other staff very helpful however. No view of the bay despite it clearly stating all rooms have a view of the bay. Hotel surrounded by derelict buildings, balcony door didn’t shut properly. Shame

We were very pleased with our choice of hotel as we had not been to Montenegro before. It's a lovely hotel quite contemporary with an amazing pool area and small pebble beach to the side. Loungers great and plenty of space. Igalo is an up and coming resort. Quite small but good to base for a week. We got to do a boat trip with a lovely crew to kotor and 2 other islands and went to Dubrovnik for the day. Border can get busy for passport control and taxi fare is 80 euros to airport and 100 euros to Dubrovnik each way. So bit pricey on fares but got there ok. There is a great spa at hotel and I had a lovely massage and used the spa. Local restaurants mixed bag but lovely one called Jedrenback which had excellent food and service. Would totally recommend

Splendid 4 star hotel in a very low key resort Igalo. We paid extra and had a suite overlooking the beautiful bay on the 4 th floor……certainly worth it. Good breakfast…..cleaners were fastidious in the room and throughout the hotel. The garden is amazing and gardeners are working very morning. Reception staff were helpful and arranged for us to stay in room as we had a late flight. We loved the area overlooking the sea for sunbathing. My husband likes a beach which is why we booked this hotel but we preferred the peaceful space at the very front by the sea. Drinks were hotel prices….we ate out very evening and prices were v v reasonable We had 2 boat trips…Kotor was heaving and we were soooooo pleased we hadn’t booked that area. Blue cave trip was underwhelming……too choppy in the cave and too many boats although the sea was stunning. We loved the resort….nothing too glitzy and tempered by the sight of large concrete flats from the communist era…… It made the place feel real and authentic and they didn’t detract from the beauty of the bay or the interesting promenade. The people are lovely I hope it isn’t spoiled too soon but I fear will lose its charm. We loved Igalo and Herzig Novic.

Just returned from 7 nights at Palmon Bay, this maybe a 4 star hotel but clearly not 4 star service. Reception staff bordering on rude, not overly helpful and not a friendly atmosphere from them. Most of the bar and waiting staff very obliging and friendly and also could not fault the helpful staff at the Spa. Nice large room , but very noisy at night even with the sliding door closed you could hear all outside and its gets annoying when trying to sleep, this also goes for the music coming from rooftop bar. I am not moaning about others enjoying their holidays as they should but the sound proof needs to be applied to rooms. This hotel only needs to tweak a few things especially reception staff and other little things and then it could make the 4 star rating in my opinion as it has so much potential in a great location without much opposition .

The hotel is finished to a high standard, the food is great and the staff are helpful and polite (mostly!). When we went the pool area across the promenade walk was only ever quarter full so there was no fighting for sunbeds. The spa in the hotel was very clean and in good condition. Our room was large and comfortable and newly finished. The fifth floor evening dining and live music was fantastic and the view across the bay the best in the area. This hotel was head and shoulders above the rest of area - people would walk into the gardens to take selfies as it was so lovely.
