Palmon Bay

The hotel is so peaceful yet somehow manages to be right in the heart of a bustling promenade. The private beach is closeby, crystal clear water, a bit rocky like everywhere in montenegro. Plenty sunbeds at beach & pool. Staff were so professional & helpful. Our room & balcony was spacious, high quality finishes, i loved the bathroom with the power shower and nice toiletries, bath robes & fluffy towels. Such good value for money. We did b&b as so many nice restaurants minutes walk away on the seafront. I felt like I was in the Mama Mia film set the place is so pretty and laid back. Felt super relaxed when I came home.

We had the best time at this hotel. Firstly the room was on the smaller side but completely suited our needs and was perfect value for what we paid. The small balcony was lovely and the room was modern and clean, plus it was cleaned every day we stayed. The breakfast was busy but other than that the hotel didn’t feel too big. We used the beach area every day and always got sunbeds even though we never got there early. We then went to the spa every afternoon which was practically empty it was so nice and private. We paid for a massage on our last day which was so relaxing. The staff throughout were kind and approachable and the location is right on the main part of town so you can walk around restaurants and bars easily. I would 100% recommend this hotel and had the best time!

This is a very nice four star hotel at the Igalo end of the Pet Danica walkway. Bars, shops and restaurants on your doorstep but not overwhelmingly so. The facilities are good (most of the beaches charge for beds but the hotel has its own private beach) and the pool area is lovely for adults and children alike. Amenities in the room: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion in the shower Towels can be changed daily if you wish. We requested a double standard room and it came as a twin (two beds pushed together) The beds were very uncomfy so we asked for a mattress protector which they were happy to provide. No tea/coffee facilities and no complimentary water. The room is small and the shower is tiny but if like us you spend most of your time outdoors it’s perfectly adequate. This was our third time in Montenegro and prob the best hotel we’ve stayed in so far. Staff are lovely, breakfast is good and everywhere is nice and clean. Would I stay again? The beds have put me off a little.

Very impressed with this hotel. Lovely staff, very helpful. Great location, spacious, relaxing decor. Also good value with fantastic breakfast. Highly recommend. There is a pool/sea area which is really lovely to relax at, you can have lunch or buy a drink there.

Lovely spot, lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance, the old town Herceg Novi is also walkable within half hour. Ideal as a quieter base outside of Kotor Bay (whilst here Kotor had up to 4 cruise ships dock per day!) Travel options to explore further afield are limited to organised trips or local buses, taxis work out quite expensive. The bus to Kotor was €5.60 each way, taxis were €70-120 each way depending on traffic. The bus was efficient, clean and easy and a great way to see the beautiful coastline and was actually faster than a cab. We took an early taxi to the bus station and spent the day in Kotor on our own schedule, riding the Cable car and alpine coaster, exploring the churches and old town, grabbing giant pizza slices and wandering the cobbled streets. The hotel was quite business like, rules included not walking through in swimwear which isn’t great when we just wanted to cross back n forth to the HOTELS own beach and pool area. Spa was lovely but seemed odd not to have a small gym at a spa hotel. Massages were great and were fairly priced. Use of the spa was included. Bar and food prices at the hotel were more than in local restaurants and bars but were still fair for a 4* hotel. Our room was a standard side sea view. Compact in size but had plenty of wardrobe space and we managed to squeeze suitcases under beds out of the way. It was single beds pushed together which wouldn’t be our preference so maybe specify if you require a double bed. The main thing for us was the noise. We were on the 5th floor a few rooms up from the bar. The bar itself wasn’t an issue, plus it is closed by 11, but the main door from the lifts to the rooms and even the individual room doors aren’t soft close and were unbelievably loud. There is zero sound proofing, the road noise was terrible too, the balcony sliding doors block nothing out at all, thankfully the local chemist had a selection of earplugs, we wouldn’t have had a single peaceful sleep without them!!! The room’s were cleaned daily, the communal spaces are lovely and clean, gardens are amazing. The hotel service from staff was efficient, when we needed anything they were helpful. The atmosphere was a mixed, the clientele is very mixed, from corporate events to holiday makers of a wide variety of nationalities, to a finish line hotel for a European road race biker competition which brought probably 100 bikers to the hotel for a night or two so it doesn’t have the feel of what most people expect of a ‘holiday’ hotel. There’s no entertainment (not that we expected that) but if that’s what you like at your hotel, it might not be be the place for you. We did some interesting stuff locally…. Take in a waterpolo game (the national sport) it was free and the atmosphere was great. Walking distance from the hotel. We also did a tour of Tito’s Villa, interesting 1970s relic with Cold War history, 5 minutes walk from hotel. Fridays only, tickets from the Igalo Institute Reception. €10 each. All in all we had a lovely stay (with earplugs!!)
