Regent Porto Montenegro

The hotel itself is very nice but I feel future guests should be aware of a significant access issue. I cannot use lifts due to severe claustrophobia and was allocated a room on the second floor. Although there are stairs, they can only be used to go down. The stairwell doors are locked when trying to come up, meaning I had to find a member of staff every time I wanted to return to my room. Some staff were understanding and helpful, others were condescending and judgemental (especially the woman on reception) I understand this may be for security reasons, but it meant I had no independent way of accessing my room. If you are unable to use lifts for any reason, I would strongly recommend checking the hotel’s access arrangements before booking. We were there on a business trip and due diligence had clearly not been carried out.

Hotel and location are absolutely stunning could not fault anything. Staff very pleasant and attentive. Sadly there is nowhere to leave reviews about Tivat Airport. Tivat airport on the other hand awful would rather transfer to Croatia and fly from there than ever fly from Montenegro (Tivat airport) again. It’s warm it’s cramped it’s dirty and the staff are horrible and watch your belongings as they sometimes find there way into a tray on a shelf underneath the scanner hoping you don’t notice and don’t get them back or tell you some crap story that they put it in your bag 😡. The only reason they were continently found is because I told them I wasn’t leaving until they were found and as if by magic there they were.

The luxurious hotel is located a great location with upscale shopping, dining and a yacht dock attached to it. The view from the suite balcony is amazing. The suite had 2 balconies, a small kitchen, spacious rooms and a grand bathroom. Breakfast and dinner were great experiences on site.

Two nights here as part of a Backroads hiking and biking tour through Croatia and Montenegro. Outstanding hotel. Spacious rooms, wonderful service, a fabulous balcony overlooking a large pool (a bit of a scene -- like a Las Vegas pool with music and great people watching) and a variety of other amenities. Lobby restaurant offers a daily breakfast buffet that is more than ample (à la carte menu included in our stay as well but we did not need it!); we also enjoyed a very nice dinner there with some lovely local wines as recommended by our knowledgeable and professional server. The restaurant is right on the port, so the views of the people and of the yachts coming and coming were most entertaining. Lobby bar is fun -- and was full of people watching World Cup games during our stay, making it energetic. Lobby is spacious and busy -- this hotel appears to cater to some large groups -- but that did not detract from the experience of wonderful, professional, attentive service from the concierge or front desk teams. Regent appears to be the top rated hotel here -- and while we didn't stay at any others, it is as good a hotel as we have ever stayed in. Recommend it highly.
