Signum Hotel

Best place to stay on Salina hands down. So happy to be welcomed back into the amazing warm family that Signum should continue to be so proud. Stayed in the most perfect old world suite with panoramic views over the sea, sounds of the village around and felt we were in the heart of MALFA. The breakfast was spectacular and service from Graciella like she was welcoming us into her family. Luca and Martine did much more than we could ever have imagined and I am forever grateful and thankful to the team. Can’t wait to return and bring our family and friends here. Thank you Signum

Hotel Signum is like no other place on Salina. The kindness, professionalism and warmth from the staff, the unique style and layout of the rooms, the gorgeous spa area, the fact that one of the only Italian female Michelin star chefs heads the kitchen and the grounds is a testament to Signums’ unique spirit, its soul and why it is world class and definitely worth staying at least for a few days if not more.

Tired and needs maintenance. Living room lighting so bad it was unusable. Shower badly caked with sediment. Water leaked all over floor. Our friend’s shower reeked of sulfur and was unusable. Their clothing ended up absorbing the smell and had to be cleaned at the next hotel. Pool unheated. Lounge cushions need repair and cleaning. Menu for regular fare limited and doesn’t vary day to day. Tasting menu has multiple courses of raw fish. Breakfast croissant was rubbery and gooey inside. Maybe it was frozen ? Breakfast took long. Our last day we had to leave before scrambled eggs arrived. This place is no longer top notch. A book about the place makes it look very glamorous but seems to be at least 20 yrs old. It needs attention to detail in all areas-maintenance, food prep and menu.

Located on the island of Salina in one of the best towns, called Malfa, my wife and I had a great 3 night visit. We were so happy we picked this authentic Italian luxury hotel over all the other options on the island of Salina. This was our second time on the island. We stayed at Capo Faro the first time, which was also a fabulous experience. However, we are glad we went to Signum, as the town of Malfa was fantastic and the views from this hotel are breathtaking. We will be back!

An amazing experience. The hotel feels more like a small hamlet, where you can wonder through little 'streets', stay in beautiful low key chic rooms, and eat Michelin star food. Which was a definite highlight. But the service from pre-visit organisation, to front of house during the stay, the spa team, and everyone in the restaurant and bar area, really stand out.
