Campsite Kastanija

There is a good base to build on ... sadly there are way too many MINUS points. Let's start with positives: - clean, - nice place for family (kids can jump into small pool, beach few meters away - depending on location of mobile home, fenced compound...) Negatives: - noisy neighbour (portable speaker with inappropriate volume) not put in place by staff... they only said they had many complaints but the guy seems to forget about warning every day ... just think abour 10 families around and all the children ... music playing up until 10PM ... with mjority of smal children in bed by 8PM ... trying to sleep. - sprinkler for the lawn righ in front of entrance and goes off every morning aroun 5AM without staff warning us ... - scheduled pool cleaning (sign says 8-10PM... there is noone there that time), - no mosquito nets on windows, - no shade (an the day we arrived it was 38deg C), AC is trying but rarely manages to cool the mobile home to desired temperature, - wifi from stoneage, - no towels & linnings included!!! - one picnic place with grill just too far away, Long story short: with more involved staff and few details sorted would be much nicer place to spend holiday. Note that 3/4 of guests are families with small children and not pleasing young mums and dads can bring you lots of problems in the future. We are NOT going back for sure. Superior only in the name. Reality far from it.

WIFI doesn't work almost everywhere. Didn't even get a toilet paper. The staff isn't much kind. It has a nice pool, but the beach is all stone and not kids friendly. Overall, nice and clean place, but definitely too too pricey for the service that you get

Nice place ideal for families . Mobile homes are very well equiped, wifi, TV, bed was also comfortable. It had nice terrace and pool just around the corner. Beach is few minutes walk. Also nice place for running between vineyards and the sea! There is also small shop, bakery and a guy who sells fruit and vegetables during the morning. Recepcionist Barbara was very helpful!

When we came in,we saw nice camping spot with nice mobile homes.At present time approx. 110€/day.Ok,we say,looks nice and we move in...than this: - no shadow at all,anywhere!Just imagine at 32C outside... - no shadow for car! - beach&coast 500m away! - and also:linnings for beds 42€ extra per week! - towels extra again for same money! - no antimoskito nets in mobile houses on windows!Happy nights folks! If you have 15 min extra time,pick anything else! Never,never again!!!

Lovely new mobile homes, very nicely laid out surrounded by neat gardens. 200m walk to a rocky beach where snorkelling is good. Mini train takes you about two miles along coast to novigrad - which is a really lovely place. typical excellent and cheap croatian food, shops and nightlife. The new homes are laid out in a fenced off compound and that the pools which are shared by each set of 8 homes are way too small. Do wear swimming shoes in the sea as sea urchin spikes really hurt!
