The best hotel in Zadar. Great location, close to the Old Town. You can choose between the pool, the spa, or the sea. Spacious rooms with everything you need. Comfortable beds.

We did not plan to stay at the Hyatt Regency. We just wanted a simple lunch on the terrace. However, our experience was so good (excellent food, great and friendly service - thank you Antonio), that we decided to spend a night at the hotel. This was the occasion to celebrate our combined birthdays. The hotel reception (thank you Karla), was very welcoming, and quickly prepared a nice programme for our celebration. Our stay went perfectly well. The hotel is sumptuous, our room was beautiful and spacious with a great view on the harbour and the old city, the staff was friendly and attentive. We had massages in the elegant SPA, and had in-room dinner. Just perfect. You can feel that the hotel is very well managed, congratulations to Mr Röttger (General Manager) and all his team.

Having just returned from the Hyatt Hotel Zadar I would like to say what an amazing hotel, loved the architecture and design of the hotel along with having a wonderful time having stayed for just over a week. The waiters in the breakfast/dining room were excellent providing a personal service not only to ourselves but to everyone else as well. I would like to give a mention to Raquel and Dragutin who could not do enough, were most helpful, professional and polite. Zadar is a lovely city with lovely people. For the second time this year, we stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Zadar, and once again we were very happy with our stay. The hotel is beautifully located, right next to the marina and the pier, from where you can take the boat across to the Old Town. We had a beautiful, spacious room with a balcony. The bed was very comfortable, the walk-in shower was spacious, and everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent. There was a great selection of delicious juices, breads, cold meats, salads and fresh fruit, as well as eggs prepared in many different ways — fried, omelettes, scrambled, Eggs Benedict and boiled eggs. The service was exceptional. A special thank you to our fantastic waitresses, Yanina and Rakil, who were absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. The reception staff were also very friendly and helpful. The pool and spa were excellent. We enjoyed both a massage and a hammam treatment. The massage therapist was very professional and gave a wonderful massage. The hammam experience, however, could be improved. Firstly, the temperature in the steam room was too high. Some quiet, relaxing music would also have been lovely, rather than complete silence. During the treatment, the therapist covered my face with a towel, which, combined with the high temperature and humidity, made me feel almost claustrophobic. After the treatment, I had to take a shower because I was covered in the exfoliating cream. The massage as part of the treatment could also have been better. It was too gentle, and there was hardly any difference between the exfoliation and the actual massage. The saunas, on the other hand, were fantastic. It would also be very helpful to have someone permanently present at the spa reception, especially during the high season. We tried several times to book treatments before eventually managing to arrange everything by phone. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this very good hotel and we are already planning to return next year.

Lovely hotel by the waterfront just opposite the old town. You can get across in a couple of minutes on a small rowboat for two euros, or walk around via a bridge in 20 minutes. Rooms are large and comfortable, with great bathrooms. Food and drink is excellent, including some delicious cocktails. Pool is excellent - partly outdoors and partly indoors, with bubble jets and a warmer water section inside. There are ample sun beds available. Although there is no beach nearby, you can enter the water for a swim about 200 meters up the road to the right of the hotel. Overall, this hotel is a gem. It is a historic building that formerly housed a factory for making cherry liqueurs - some of the cocktails on offer contain this ingredient, which is a nice touch.
