Valamar Tirana Hotel

A fantastic stay at Valamar Tirena from the moment we arrived to when we left. Great location, easy access to the beach and the bus stop for trips into town. 3 pools, 2 outdoor ones were pretty cold in October, but the indoor one is heated, and with a sauna. One of the outdoor ones also has slides. The rooms were clean and modern, also well equipped. We had 2 interconnecting rooms, and a bath in 1, shower in the other. Beds were a little firm. Half board was decent, whilst only one restaurant available, the buffet option was varied each evening with plenty of hot and cold options, with chefs on hand freshly preparing dishes, and breakfast was also very good. There is also a parade of shops and other paid for restaurants in the complex, we tried a couple for lunch and they too were good. The best part of this resort however for us was Maro World, great for all ages of kids, and no extra cost. All the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. I would highly recommend to any family looking for a great option in Dubrovnik and the stunning location this city is.

We stayed at Valamar Tirena for a week at the end of October, and we honestly couldn’t fault the hotel or its facilities. Being able to use the indoor pool and spa was a lovely added bonus, and my little girl even managed to enjoy the outdoor water slides! Maro World was absolutely fantastic for children and is by far the best kids’ club we’ve ever experienced, with so much to see and do to keep little ones entertained. All the staff were incredibly friendly and couldn’t have done more for us. The hotel was clean and well-maintained. The hotel is in a quieter location, with a few bars, shops and restaurants nearby. Having a bus stop right outside the hotel was perfect for getting into Dubrovnik Old Town or heading to the restaurants in Lapad. The buffet breakfast had everything you could need, with plenty of choice to start the day. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and couldn’t fault the hotel. It’s a brilliant choice for families, and we would happily return. Highly recommended!
