Arba Resort Valamar Collection at Capo Fronte

We stayed 4 nights end of August, 2 adults and our 2-year-old son, standard 2+1 room with park view, around €2k with All Inclusive. First the good stuff, and there is a lot of it. The hotel is modern, the room was comfy and really clean. Only thing that bothered us: the doors are not soundproof at all. You hear everything from the corridor, people talking, kids running around. During the day no problem, late at night a bit annoying. If you have kids, this hotel is made for you. In the room you get a kids hygiene set (shampoo, toothbrush, toilet seat), there are kids sinks and kids toilets everywhere, even diapers. The Maro Club is from about 3-4 years but we went with our 2-year-old and joined the activities together, worked great. Nice rooms, good toys, the animators really put in effort, evening program was good too. Pools: 3 outdoor pools (one is V-Level only), one indoor pool that connects to an outdoor pool, plus 2 outdoor kids pools and 1 indoor kids pool. All heated, very clean, always enough sunbeds. 3 slides – the indoor one is not too fast, we used it with our son. The 2 outdoor slides are real adrenaline, nothing for small kids. Beach: split in three parts. The plateau with cabanas is V-Level only, the middle part is for everyone from hotel and outside (sunbeds), further down a sandy area for hotel guests. All sunbeds are in the sand, first 2 rows at the water reserved for V-Level, which is a bit stupid but ok. Sand on the beach, sand and pebbles in the water, all sunbeds included. The beach is 5 min down from the hotel, 10 min back up with a small child, it's quite steep but everything in Hotel area not outside. Food: the buffet at Arba 772 is really excellent. Clean, good selection, they refill often instead of putting out huge amounts, and lots of options. I also like that Valamar uses Croatian products and local ingredients, you can taste it. Staff: super friendly and helpful everywhere, nothing to complain about. Parking 5€ per day outside, secured, some spots covered. Now the All Inclusive. Honestly, it's just full board. Snacks, ice cream and AI drinks you only get inside at Arba 772 or at one pool bar from 11 to 19 (only soft drinks and coffee from the dispenser). Beach bar: pay. Second pool bar: pay( Vlevel). So if your kid wants an ice cream at the beach, you dry off, get dressed, walk 10 min up to the restaurant and back down or you pay 2,5€ per scoop at the beachbar. And the AI soft drinks, some brand called "Exi" or similar, were honestly disgusting. It's not about coming from a dispenser, Pepsi or Coca-Cola from a dispenser would be totally fine, it's the taste. You could see it at the pool bar, people poured more away than they drank. Water at the beach bar was free from the dispenser, but lukewarm after midday. It's not about alcohol, good alcohol costs money and I pay for it. But if you want a normal Pepsi it's €5.50 extra, so you pay twice. I'm used to AI in Greece and Spain and that is a completely different world. Next time I'd take half board and pay my drinks myself. At the End : hotel, beach, pools, food, staff and everything for kids deserve 5 stars. The AI does not. Book half board and you'll have a great family holiday. We'll be back, but not with AI.

Great service level! Esp. when it comes to the restaurant! Furthermore quality of food was very good. Meat and fish dishes were great. Also the hotel in general is relatively new. And the service level in generell is very good. Shuttle service into the city or to the boat. (We had V-Level status)

This was our first visit to the resort, and we truly had an amazing stay from beginning to end. We stayed in a seaside V-Level room, which was modern, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean. The room was very well thought out, with a Nespresso machine, small refrigerator, plenty of hanging space, and shelves for clothing. We were also welcomed with a lovely tray of island-specific cakes and cookies, made locally—and they were absolutely delicious. A very good way to start a vacation! The bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub, and the towels were changed daily and always impeccably clean. Our only small suggestion would be to add a few more hooks for towels. Apparently, even on vacation, towels still need their own real estate! The room itself had a large and extremely comfortable bed, with high-quality feather pillows that made getting up in the morning unnecessarily difficult. The sitting area was charming and became part of our daily routine. The kids' room was absolutely adorable and had its own access to the balcony, in addition to access from the main room—a great setup for families. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest, we give the room 10/10 for quality, comfort, and design. The cleaning crew deserves special recognition as well. Everyone we encountered was kind, professional, friendly, and accommodating. The restaurants were open, spacious, and beautifully arranged, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The variety, quality, and freshness of the food were exceptional. I could easily spend several pages describing everything we enjoyed, but I will spare everyone the novel and simply give the restaurants 10/10 as well. The service was consistently warm, attentive, and professional. One person who particularly stood out to us was Daca. Every time we saw her, she greeted us with a smile. She seemed to notice every little gesture or indication that a guest needed something, and every request was handled quickly, efficiently, and with genuine politeness. She balanced what was clearly a very busy workload while making every guest feel welcome and cared for. She went above and beyond every day, at every meal, and somehow made it all look effortless. A true professional and a wonderful representative of the resort. The facilities are truly impressive. There is something for everyone, regardless of age. It is a fantastic place for families with young children, but equally enjoyable for families with teenagers or couples looking for a relaxing getaway. The spa is beautifully designed, and we were extremely pleased with our massage. We would definitely recommend it. The concierge service was also excellent. The team was knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely helpful when recommending activities outside the resort. We would especially like to recognize Dragan, Client Services Manager at Concierge. He stood out as someone who genuinely takes the time to listen, understand guests' needs, and find the right solutions. His professionalism and willingness to help made a real impression on us. Kudos to Dragan—we highly recommend him. There are so many positive things about our stay that we would need several pages to mention every detail. So, rather than turning this review into a small novel, we will simply say this: We truly had an amazing time. The nature surrounding the resort is beautiful, the grounds are exceptionally well maintained, and the entire property has been thoughtfully designed to create a wonderful experience for guests of all ages. We highly recommend this resort and are already looking forward to coming back. Hopefully, next time we can find even more reasons to give it a 10—although Valamar arba made that rather difficult! Ovo je bio naš prvi posjet ovom resortu i zaista smo imali predivan boravak od početka do kraja. Boravili smo u sobi V-Level s pogledom na more, koja je bila moderna, lijepo uređena i besprijekorno čista. Soba je bila vrlo pažljivo osmišljena i opremljena Nespresso aparatom, malim hladnjakom, dovoljno prostora za vješanje odjeće i policama za odlaganje. Dočekao nas je i prekrasan pladanj s kolačima i keksima karakterističnima za otok, napravljenima lokalno — i bili su apsolutno ukusni. Zaista odličan način za započeti odmor! Kupaonica je imala i tuš i kadu, a ručnici su se mijenjali svakodnevno i uvijek su bili besprijekorno čisti. Naša jedina mala sugestija bila bi da se postavi još nekoliko kukica za ručnike. Čini se da čak i na odmoru ručnici trebaju vlastiti teritorij! Soba je imala veliki i iznimno udoban krevet, s kvalitetnim jastucima od perja zbog kojih je ustajanje ujutro bilo nepotrebno teško. Prostor za sjedenje bio je vrlo simpatičan i postao je dio naše svakodnevne rutine. Dječja soba bila je preslatka i imala je vlastiti izlaz na balkon, uz dodatni pristup iz glavne sobe — odličan raspored za obitelji. Na ljestvici od 1 do 10, gdje je 10 najviša ocjena, sobi dajemo 10/10 za kvalitetu, udobnost i dizajn. Posebno želimo pohvaliti i osoblje zaduženo za čišćenje. Svi s kojima smo se susreli bili su ljubazni, profesionalni, susretljivi i spremni pomoći. Restorani su bili prostrani, otvoreni i lijepo uređeni, s mnogo mjesta za sjedenje u zatvorenom i na otvorenom. Raznolikost, kvaliteta i svježina hrane bili su izvanredni. Mogla bih bez problema napisati nekoliko stranica o svemu što smo probali, ali poštedjet ću vas romana i jednostavno restoranima dati 10/10. Usluga je uvijek bila srdačna, pažljiva i profesionalna. Jedna osoba koja se posebno istaknula bila je Daca. Svaki put kada bismo je vidjeli, dočekala bi nas s osmijehom. Činilo se kao da primijeti svaku malu gestu ili znak da gost nešto treba, a svaki zahtjev bio je riješen brzo, učinkovito i uz iskrenu ljubaznost. Savršeno je balansirala svoje, očito vrlo zahtjevno, radno opterećenje, a pritom je svakom gostu davala osjećaj dobrodošlice i pažnje. Svakog dana, pri svakom obroku, činila je više od očekivanog — i sve je izgledalo potpuno prirodno i bez napora. Pravi profesionalac i prekrasan predstavnik resorta. Sadržaji resorta zaista su impresivni. Ima ponešto za svakoga, bez obzira na dob. Izvrsno je mjesto za obitelji s malom djecom, ali jednako tako i za obitelji s tinejdžerima ili parove koji traže opuštajući odmor. Spa centar je prekrasno uređen, a masaža kojom smo bili počašćeni bila je izvrsna. Svakako je preporučujemo. Concierge služba također je bila izvrsna. Tim je bio stručan, profesionalan i iskreno susretljiv pri preporučivanju aktivnosti izvan resorta. Posebno bismo željeli pohvaliti Dragana, Client Services Managera u Concierge službi. Istaknuo se kao osoba koja zaista odvoji vrijeme kako bi saslušala gosta, razumjela njegove potrebe i pronašla pravo rješenje. Njegova profesionalnost i spremnost da pomogne ostavili su na nas snažan dojam. Svaka čast Draganu — iskreno ga preporučujemo. Toliko je pozitivnih stvari vezanih uz naš boravak da bi nam trebalo nekoliko stranica da spomenemo baš svaki detalj. Stoga, umjesto da ovu recenziju pretvorimo u mali roman, reći ćemo samo ovo: Zaista smo proveli predivno vrijeme. Priroda koja okružuje resort je prekrasna, okoliš je iznimno lijepo uređen i održavan, a cijeli resort pažljivo je osmišljen kako bi gostima svih dobnih skupina pružio prekrasno iskustvo. Od srca preporučujemo ovaj resort i već se veselimo ponovnom dolasku. Nadamo se da ćemo sljedeći put pronaći još neki razlog da damo ocjenu 10 — iako ste nam to već sada prilično otežali!

Arba Resort Rab is without any doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed in, and we have visited many hotels across Croatia, including several Valamar properties such as Pical and Girandella. While those hotels were very good, Arba Resort stands out in every aspect: hospitality, service, food quality, cleanliness, hotel design, and attention to guests. What impressed us most was the exceptional care shown towards guests with celiac disease. As someone who has celiac disease, I am used to having very limited options at buffets and usually expect to skip desserts altogether. At Arba Resort, the experience was completely different. Although meals are served buffet-style, the hotel prepares gluten-free food separately in a dedicated area of the kitchen after discussing preferences with the guest. The staff explained that this is the safest approach to avoid cross-contamination, which immediately gave me confidence. The level of knowledge about celiac disease was outstanding, and the entire team took food safety very seriously. The chefs prepared fresh meals for me on request, and every dish was not only safe but genuinely delicious. What surprised me the most was that the pastry chef prepared gluten-free desserts for me at lunch and dinner without me even having to ask. This has never happened to me in any other hotel. Every day there was something different and absolutely delicious: mango mousse, raspberry mousse, cakes, a wonderful lemon and cottage cheese pastry, and more. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made me feel truly welcome. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional. We have never experienced such warmth and professionalism. A special thank you goes to Marin, the restaurant manager, who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. On the day of our arrival, there were very few gluten-free options available at the snack bar, so the team immediately prepared a special meal for me. On another occasion, when we arrived too late for lunch, they still arranged a meal for me outside the regular lunch hours. This level of care is extremely rare and deserves recognition. The hotel itself is beautiful, impeccably clean, and very well organized. The choice and quality of food are excellent, and the layout of the resort feels spacious, elegant, and much more functional than many other family hotels we have visited. The location is fantastic, there are great playgrounds for children, plenty of activities throughout the day, and the Maro Club is excellent. This was already our second stay at Arba Resort, having visited both last year and this year, and we will definitely return again. A heartfelt thank you to Marin, the chefs, and the pastry chef for creating not only safe meals for someone with celiac disease, but truly exceptional culinary experiences. For families, for food lovers, and especially for anyone with celiac disease, Arba Resort Rab is simply outstanding. It is rare to find a hotel that not only understands celiac disease so well, but also delivers such high-quality, delicious food and such genuine hospitality.

Wat een geweldig mooi, nieuw hotel! Alles ziet er modern en verzorgd uit. De zwembaden zijn heerlijk, het strand is prachtig en het hele resort straalt luxe uit. Wat ons misschien nog wel het meest is bijgebleven, is de ongekende vriendelijkheid van het personeel. Iedereen is oprecht gastvrij, behulpzaam en doet er alles aan om je een onvergetelijke vakantie te bezorgen. Onze kinderen van 14, 12 en 7 jaar hebben zich geen moment verveeld. Er is zoveel te doen: mountainbiken, suppen, de gameroom, een uitgebreide kidsclub met leuke activiteiten, een voetbalveld en natuurlijk het heerlijke strand. Ook het eten was elke dag uitstekend en de gratis watertaxi naar de oude binnenstad van Rab is echt een fantastische extra. Het V-Level gedeelte is nóg luxer en absoluut de moeite waard, maar ook de gewone kamers zijn prachtig en van alle gemakken voorzien. Wij hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad en komen volgend jaar zeker terug! What a beautiful new resort! Everything is modern, stylish, and exceptionally well maintained. The swimming pools are fantastic, the beach is stunning, and the entire resort has a luxurious feel. What impressed us even more was the incredible friendliness of the staff. Everyone is genuinely welcoming, helpful, and goes above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. Our children (14, 12, and 7 years old) never got bored for a single moment. There is so much to do, including mountain biking, paddleboarding, the game room, an excellent kids’ club with plenty of activities, a football pitch, and of course the beautiful beach. The food was delicious every day, and the complimentary water taxi to Rab Old Town is a wonderful bonus. The V-Level accommodation is even more luxurious and definitely worth it, but the standard rooms are also beautiful and very comfortable. We had an amazing holiday and will definitely be back next year!
