Half of our group went ahead and ventured back into the Plitvice National Park, while the rest of us stayed behind and relaxed here. Extensive hiking is necessary to explore the park, and we tired easily with the twists and turns. Anyway, the park didn't offer the wow experience that other parks have. However, the fall foliage was eye-poppingly beautiful. Some who stayed at Jezero Hotel ate their sandwiches which they made during breakfast at Zrinka House. Everyone seemed satisfied. Those who visited the park felt they had seen enough, and those who stayed behind at Jezero Hotel enjoyed the hotel's comfort and non-intrusive hospitality and friendly staff.

So let's start with the positives, amazing location, literally steps away from the plitvic lakes national park. Free parking also included and if you buy a deal then free breakfast and access to the spa. The staff were friendly and helpful so another positive there. Let's go wolith the negatives now, it's overpriced for what you get provided with compared to other hotels across croatia. The hotel needs updating but this is just aesthetics really. The rooms are basic with limited accessories. Not air con so I cannot imagine what it's like in heat of summer. There is no kettle or drink facilities either. Bathroom and showers are not great but will do. Considering the price of this hotel it needs to really invest into updating itself. The spa was interesting. 2 saunas, a steam room and what is advertised as a whirl pool is juts a tiny plunge pool that is not warm and none of the jets on it worked so not that great. The sauna and steam rooms were actually quite good. The breakfast buffet was ok. It had a range of got and cold food, but more cold than hot. Everything was clearly labelled and the quality was poor but not the worse I have ever had. The main issue is the mass of people trying to all get breakfast at the same time and ot can be chaotic if you go early morning. I advise going slightly later and avoiding the crowds. Overall the breakfast was ok. I think if the price was slightly lower or they invested more into the hotel then I would be tempted to give it 4 stars but as it stands 3 seems reasonable.
