Heritage Hotel Fermai

Disappointing experience staying at the Heritage Hotel from the very beginning. We had arranged pick up from airport (providing flight number and exact time), no transport arrived, and they claim they got mixed up. Rooms are stylishly decorated, but very small, and air-conditioning is sporadic during the night, making the room too warm. Location is ‘interesting’ and the official photos paint a different picture from reality - see my photo. Whilst walkable to nearby attractions, it’s not the most scenic. The main reason for the 2 stars (and that is being generous) is for the poor customer experience - with exception to the lovely and friendly girl who served us breakfast each morning (dark hair with nose piercing - sorry did not get name, but she was excellent). The older receptionist was rude and unfriendly (unlike most other Croatians we have met). When we queried why our room was not made up after a full day, she blamed us, said no to more water when I asked and reluctant to provide fresh towels. Would I stay there again or recommend to others - no!

A real find in Split. Just a five minute walk to the walled city and the best air conditioning in town, which is very important in August in Croatia. The staff is extremely helpful and the included breakfast is first rate. It is billed as a 4-star hotel, but feels like a 5-star.

Our stay was truly wonderful. The hotel was beautiful, full of charm, spotlessly clean and in the most amazing location. Every member of staff treated us with such genuine kindness and care and we felt so welcomed from the moment we arrived. Thank you for making our time in Split even more special!

This hotel is very close to the old town, entering Diocletian’s palace via a lovely little park. Most everything is walkable. The room was small but elegant with nice bathroom products. Breakfast was extra but nicely done. Muesli, pastry, meats with some egg dishes that could be ordered. The service was friendly and helpful. Zlata told us about Znjan beqch, a short uber away, which was amazing. As Americans, we couldn’t believe this was a city beach. We rented beach towels from the hotel and everyone just plopped on the beach (although there were sun beds to rent). Don’t forget your water shoes for the Croatia beaches!

This is an extremely comfortable, elegant and well-located small hotel in Split. The service is excellent - everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, storing our luggage when we arrived in Split on an early flight and giving us great suggestions for restaurants and must-see sights. Breakfast was phenomenal - a beautiful and fresh buffet, along with a menu of lovely hot dishes. Any request was met with kindness and prompt attention. Highly recommend!
