I called and week ahead of arrival. I asked about the beach and water. The beach is open and the water is as well but there is a "little" seaweed. We are cleaning it up and it should be gone when you arrive. NOPE!!! The seaweed was at least 2 feet high on the shore and 20 feet floating off the shore just waiting to be cleaned up. The place is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. If you want a beach this isnt the place!!! Carolina, DeMarys, and Daniel were the best!!! I won't be going back because I felt like they didn't tell the truth even upon arrival. They said I could walk 10 minutes to a good area but nope!! I walked 30 minutes and got stopped and told not to go further.

Beautiful hotel. Beach is rocky but nice view. Restaurants are better than other hotels in Punta Cana. Rooms are beautiful, but A/C in some buildings underperform. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Very peaceful and relaxing (which was our goal). Premises are very well kept.

Right away, there was a clear lack of attention to detail. When we walked into reception, there was a stain right on the couch, and right then and there, I knew it was going to be a long weekend. On top of that, the facility had a persistent, unpleasant smell; it's difficult to explain, but the open air around the property frequently smelled like manure. Overall, I felt conflicted the entire time we were there, which meant we got no real rest. I was constantly torn about complaining because I didn’t want the frontline staff to take the blame for systemic failures, especially since you could genuinely tell how scared they were of getting reprimanded or called out for things completely outside of their control. Despite a rough start and that heavy feeling of conflict, the one bright spot was the phenomenal team. Every staff member I spoke to provided exceptional service and was genuinely eager to help, despite clearly being set up to fail by upper management. To show just how kind they are, I witnessed on two separate occasions staff members being yelled at by a guest, and they still responded with absolute professionalism, saying "yes ma'am" or "yes sir." A special shoutout goes to Jordanny at Sea Legs, Elian, and Sparkle, who are some of the kindest and most hardworking people I’ve ever seen in any establishment. Everyone at the sports center was so welcoming and looked genuinely happy to provide us with whatever we needed to play pickleball or ping pong. I also want to give credit to room service, which was totally fine with no complaints at all. The 24-hour cafe was also pretty cool, though the milk the establishment used was straight up disgusting; there were moments we ordered coffee and just had to leave it sitting on the table. The major downfalls fall squarely on management. The food was so disappointing. It was clearly microwaved, and you could easily tell that the kitchen staff had little to work with. It's an absolute shame because the resort is failing its team by not providing adequate ingredients, which directly impacts the guest experience. They constantly ran out of things, lacking even coconut water or basic components needed to make standard drinks. Again, this all boils down to management because the staff is clearly willing to work. I only saw one single staff member serving food with gloves on; everyone else did not wear gloves. This is a massive management oversight and training failure. Beyond the reception couch, the bedding was an issue. The sheets were always sandy, even when they were changed. Mind you, my husband and I didn't even go in the ocean because of the sargassum, so it wasn't coming from us. Management really needs to step up, supply proper ingredients and inventory, improve cleanliness, and support their team. Because of these systemic failures, I would never recommend this place, which is so sad because the frontline staff here really, really works hard and deserves so much better.
