My husband and I(in our 50’s) enjoyed our week long trip at this resort. It was our first all inclusive vacation. The property was beautiful and very clean. We stayed “Preferred “ in a Villa, with swim out. Service was amazing, in almost every aspect. We were often called by name, which was unbelievable. The staff seemed genuinely happy to serve us, which is a culture we aren’t accustomed to. We were happily greeted every morning with a cabana, by Alvaro or Javier at the preferred pool. We enjoyed drinks all day prepared by Henry, with premium liquors, at the Kaiman Bar. Entertainment was frequently provided, we enjoyed cornhole and learned to make guacamole with a young man named “Fabulous.” Drinks were often delivered to us by our sweet servers, if we weren’t seated at the swim up. There were quite an assortment of restaurants. The food was sometimes not what we are used to, but is understandable, considering the amount of food they are serving for such a wide variety of people. There was always something that we liked available. Our favorite restaurants were MESA for breakfast; Candela and Barefoot Grill for lunch; Oke, Toura, and Candela for dinner. In addition we had room service multiple times during our stay. All in all we would definitely stay here again. I certainly hope to make a trip to the Dominican Republic again. It was a vacation for people who want to rest and relax.
Chispita was fantastic and also she made my stay more happy. I am unhappy to be going home - hope she will come visit me in london
Our experience was great even though we were only there for a short amount of time. They have exceptional staff who are very accommodating, especially Julia who went above and beyond her duty to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I’d give her service a 10/10, she is phenomenal.
Our stay at Dreams Cap Cana was truly exceptional from start to finish. The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and offers a perfect blend of relaxation and entertainment. The food and beverage experience was outstanding, with excellent restaurants, attentive service, and a wonderful selection of dining options. The on-property entertainment was fantastic, with engaging daily activities, live music, and high-quality evening shows that made every day enjoyable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure guests had a memorable experience. We highly recommend this resort and look forward to returning in the future.
Just came back from Sept 4-11. Understand that my experience was a resort that maybe had ~150 guests during my week stay so experiences of others may vary. Main pool was basically private the entire time... maybe on the weekend it got to around 40-50 ppl in the main pool. Room 5/5 - We got upgraded for free from a Garden view king to a King Swim-out (Room 1001, right beside the pool bridge). Minibar was always stocked every day, we even got a few refills of the Pringles and M&Ms that were in the room. Fresh towels and sheets everyday. Food 5/5 - Not all dinner restos were open every day, 2 choices plus a outdoor buffet on the sand in front of the lobby that seemed to have been there ever night. All dinner restos were great, lots to choose from. Never had a bad dinner. Breakfast buffet was great and lunch buffet (in the main buffet hall was open only on the weekend) During the week there was a smaller buffet in the Caribbean restaurant. Room service quality was spotty, but showed up within 30 min both times. 1st one we had was great, fries were fresh, 2nd time they were warmish. YMMV with room service. Staff 5/5 - Always attentive, good drinks at the bar. Mind you we were avid tippers, which i didn't see much at the resort in all honesty. The free upgrade on checkin was a great surprise. Grounds 5/5 - Easy to walk around, its pretty flat except for the pool bridge. Pool was basically dead until 10/11. Didn't need to wake up at 6AM to reserve a lounger. Entertainment 4/5 - From what i saw, the entertainment team had things to do both in the main pool and by the preferred club pool. They tried their best to rally the few of us in the pool area. Live music every night in the Palm Bar was FANTASTIC. The singers they had were great and talented. Nightly show is what you would expect from a DR show, low budget but heartwarming to see the dancers do their best. The theater air circulation is rough though, it got hot in there even with their fans on. They also had some live performances by the pool during the day. Liver singers and a live painter which was a plus. They had 2 fire shows (Circus & Fire show + White Party & Fire show) the week that we were there, both great. Beach 1/5 - At the time we were there, there was maybe 5 ppl on the beach. The sargassum issue really showed up. The staff were cleaning it by hand the entire time without any tractor support. It's hard to fight mother nature. Area in front of the beach is rocky but if you walk to the left it got better. At this time of the year, definitely not for beach lovers. Shoutout to these employees: Miguel (Breakfast buffet), Brauly (Italian), Eddy (Steakhouse), Ana (Breakfast & Lunch Buffet), Rosemart & Rosana (Coco's), Lady No-Gaga & Good Vibes (Entertainment Team) Would definitely return
