Dreams Flora Resort & Spa

Honest review, just returned (01/10/2026) We stayed in the preferred rooms and had a swim out room. Room was amazing, lots of space, clean and the shower…what can I say! Superb! We had a corner plot so Bali bed and access to pool (swim up) could have been better. It had a mixture of mud and stones so needed flip flops to get from pool to patio. Not ideal Had a butler (emilio), who messaged the activities every morning but aside from that, did not add much and could have done without a ‘butler’ service TBH. The resort itself was beautiful, lots of bars, places to sit, bridges, soooo relaxing Food was amazing….from buffet to Italian, never had a bad dish! The starters in the Italian were sooo good, one night we had them for mains too!! Service was superb. All staff were friendly and could not do enough for you. What I would say is that everyone had a job and if you asked someone for something that was not their job, they would point you to the person you should speak to (as opposed to just doing it!) Alberto at preferred bar was a star! As soon as he realised what our preferred drink was, he had it ready for us…every day! And Starling (AKA darling) was the best in entertainment. Highly reminded his water aerobics 😂 Only downside to this resort was the beach….smelly, dirty brown water! I know it’s sargassum season but this was something else. Not sure if the building of new pier has affected the ecosystem here but NOT GOOD. Could not and would untie the beach, which is a shame. In all, we would return as service, food and drinks were amazing and not beach lovers but if you are a fan of a good beach and clear waters then chose a different part of the island (La Romana)

We stayed here for 11 nights .The hotel was lovely with very pleasant staff .The food was really good except the Mexican restaurant we didnt like it .The other restaurants were lovely including the world buffet .The beach left us disappointed but was no fault of the hotel as there was a problem with seaweed but ive learnt it was a problem at a lot of places .The hotel is working hard to put in place a defence to keep the seaweed at bay .We would definitely come back to this hotel

Beautiful resort with a fantastic entertainment team! I felt like home there! Rooms are very clean and classy and food is superb and i enjoy the restaurants ambience!Everyone went above and beyond to make my stay memorable!

My experience at Dreams Flora was unfortunately very disappointing. I came hoping to make my daughter’s first international trip special, but it ended up being extremely stressful. The biggest issue was the taxi arranged through the resort.at the front desk recommended a driver named Marvin and told me he was trustworthy. They made it seem like he was part of the hotel. I specifically asked to be taken to a supermarket/pharmacy about 10 minutes away. Instead, he drove me nearly 30 minutes away to another location. I was alone with my infant and stroller, and the area felt unsafe. He provided no assistance, was on his phone throughout the ride, and became reckless with his driving after realizing I would not use him again. He then tried to charge me $70. I discovered there was a supermarket and pharmacy very close to the resort. I would strongly recommend avoiding this driver and being very cautious when the resort arranges transportation. I also repeatedly had male employees asking why I was traveling alone and where my husband was. As a woman traveling alone with an infant, I found those questions inappropriate and uncomfortable. The “kids zone” was also disappointing because it is essentially a paid babysitting service with very limited hours. Finally, my daughter became sick and we had a family emergency, requiring us to leave one day early. The resort refused to refund the unused night or make any accommodation. I didn’t appreciate that they also gave me a hard time giving me an invoice showing i checked Out early . There were some wonderful employees, especially Yansen, one of the bartenders, who was genuinely kind and made my experience better. Unfortunately, the negative experiences overshadowed the positives. I wanted my daughter’s first international trip to be memorable, and sadly, it wasn’t. I would not return to Dreams Flora.

Beautiful location and atmosphere very friendly , especially Adella the food concierge, she was absolutely fantastic and made my wife’s stay so much better making sure there was no food contamination due to her allergies, for our wedding anniversary dinner , Adella laid us a beautiful table in the wine cellar , coming back next year Adella ! See you then
