Dreams Flora Resort & Spa

Wonderful week at Dreams flora. The staff was excellent. The grounds were typical of Dreams resorts, tropical, well maintained and beautiful. Junior the entertainment manager was so welcoming and his staff of Andres, Stalin and Enyer were always making our day with jokes, smiles and dancing. The wait staff with Livivo and Luis Santana and Alberto at Seaside were so great! The room was a master suite with a 180 degree view of the ocean and the preferred pool. By far the best room we have ever had during all our stays in the Dominican. Our Butler Nathanael was excellent. He was always following up with us daily and made sure we were always taken care of.

Amazing food and the service from Miguel at the Seaside grill was always friendly and efficient, he is a superstar, thanks for making our stay unforgettable. We will come back soon.

First of all if you're vegan or vegetarian, don't go here. There is literally almost nothing you can eat. Outside of food, this resort is beautiful and well kept. Everything was clean and as expected at a nice resort. The staff is mostly friendly but some of them really make you feel like you're an annoyance. The food was not good at the buffet or Mexican restaurant. The beach bar food is very bad and the staff is very grumpy. They do have ice cream and fries though so alot of people we were with enjoyed that. The italian food was delicious, hibachi was really fun and the service at both was great. It is a good size so you can get to everywhere easily, the signage is laid out well so you always know where you're headed to find the resturants etc. We did preferred club and it was great, the check in and check out was seamless. There was alot of selling staff on site though. I know its part of the gig but they were a bit annoying sometimes. You're just trying to get your mornign coffee and someoen from amstar is bothering you to come to hyatt meeting to save $160 on your next visit, Very annoying and felt like a timeshare pitch.

Dreams Flora was a wonderful resort. Food (at the restaurants) exceeded our expectations. We loved that we didn't need to make reservations for the restaurants. Weekends are much busier at the resort than weekdays (felt like double the amount of people on Saturday & Sunday). E.g., line ups to get into the buffet, waiting for spots to open at the restaurants, waiting longer at the bar for drinks. Beach was nice - despite some seaweed we still went into the ocean every day. The ocean water was so warm! Unfortunately, there were many beach vendors trying to sell you things - hard to feel truly relaxed when they are constantly walking by and talking to you. Honestly, inside the resort, they are also trying to sell you things too, but it's much easier to say no and go about your day. Head's up if the staff in blue shirts offer you coupons and resort cash to just listen them during your breakfast - they are trying to get you to sign up for a Hyatt membership on the spot. We spent the 1.5 hours with them, refused the membership, received the resort cash, and then went on a great excursion. Overall, we really liked this resort compared to others we stayed at and we will very likely select a Dreams resort again next time we travel!
