Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa

We had a great time at the hotel! Service was excellent, the facilities including the room, pools and beach were great. We had upgraded to the Preferred room which included service by a butler. We had Joel. He assisted us with reservations, checked in on us during our stay and helped us plan an amazing celebration for our sons birthday including decorating the room. He is truly an asset to this location. We are fortunate to be able to travel quite a bit and are foodies so we were a little disappointed in the food, however, for the cost of the resort I dont think amazing food should be expected. We spent 5 days at this resort and another 5 at the Hyatt Ziva. While that resort had great service as well the beach was full of seaweed, the pools weren't as family friendly and it cost 3 times as much. The food at the Ziva was excellent though. My family said if we were to return to DR they would prefer to return to Dreams Esmeraldas. Highly recommend it.

My stay at Dreams Playa Esmeralda was truly beautiful, fun, and relaxing. The staff all around was incredible but I would love to give a big thank you and shout out to my butler Wandy who so kind, attentive, and always providing us with helpful resources for things to do around the resort. She was even so kind enough to come check in on my friend and I at the pool since she hadn’t seen us that day. Thank you Wandy and everyone at Dreams who helped make our experience magical! This was an incredible first trip out of the country.

Our time here was fantastic. The location was amazing and it was lovely to be right on the beach. Service was extremely accommodating, and our butler, Joel, went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome.

This resort is a lil over a year old! The Property is beautiful!! The service, housekeeping, & maintenance left much to be desired!
