Paradisus Grand Cana

Booked through AMEX…. What a deal so I thought……. Booking restaurants is like the hunger games.. the only real option for food is the Buffett. You wait in line just for someone to tell you all the reasons why you can’t have a reservation or a food item on the menu. Sometimes you get “I don’t speak english”. Drinks were complete garbage although the bartender tries to accommodate. Too bad the DR isn’t a place to go out into the wild to get food and beverage. I would avoid.

Paradisus Grand Cana is such a great place to vacation. Relaxing and lots to do too. Everyone here is so nice and helpful for whatever you’re looking for. All the restaurants are amazing. Especially Amor Del Mar for breakfast….Christina and all the staff are so friendly. Antony and Alexander at Nube Bar are fantastic! My concierge, Deilis, is awesome! Jose at Brisas too! Such a great vacation!

We spent a wonderful few days at Paradisus this month. The suites were lovely and spacious with a large deck. The beach and the facilities were great. We had an INCREDIBLE concierge during our stay - Omar - who went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable including riding with us to the beach and getting us set up there and even assisting us in getting a medication that someone in our party had mistakenly left at home. Highly recommend!

Beautiful resort- very relaxing vibe. What made the experience beautiful was the staff- especially Orlando, the kindest man I’ve met. Alexander and Anthony at the bar were sweet and helpful, incredibly pleasant to be around. The spa was great you feel really taken care of and the tea they have at the spa tastes like heaven. The gentleman at the front desk at the spa I unfortunately cannot remember his name but he was the sweetest and also very personable. The trolleys that take you to the beach during the day are fast and reliable - being at the beach was nice as there’s a gentleman who grills burgers and sausages for you to have- the gentleman at the smaller bar at the beach are nicer than the bigger bar of aquamarine more personable. Being at the beach there’s going to be people that hound you a bit for services or selling things- the excursions you can purchase at the beach are not part of the resort and I wouldn’t recommend them as they are a rip off if you do happen to pay for one, negotiate the price and do not pay by card what is 200 they will charge you 260 for it and say it’s taxes which is false and never worth it. As someone who travels often I’m used to be haggled at the beach or things of that sort thing just be aware. Regardless the beach and the resorts are really safe. At night when everyone is drunk and off going around security gets a bit more stern and seemingly annoyed trolleys become more of a wait time but nothing unbearable. The food at Sal was the best, the Peruvian food was the least enjoyed. Room service food was divine fresh the juice the pizza the salmon the salads incredible. I was helped by Andy the whole time via text message who was amicable and informative. Also there are kitties everywhere and they’re so sweet and cute to see all around. Overall I would come back here as I enjoyed my stay and it was a beautiful place to be in. It is a kid friendly place but everyone was well behaved and never encountered any problems.
