The resort is great, the food is mediocre, but the service is excellent especially Juan Adbrincoles who was a tremendous help with making our entire stay fun and stress free.

Spent 2 weeks here travelling from England. 1st-15th August 2026. 5 adults, 3 children (8, 5, 11months). Family concierge. Rooms 3315&3317 Rooms: We had standard suites which are great for families. It had 2 double beds and a double sofa bed for the kids in the lounge. Lounge was able to be closed off to the main bedroom via a sliding door which was ideal for when the kids went to bed but adults wanting to stay up. We had a travel cot provided for the baby. The rooms were okay - spacious and well designed. We had issues with our minibar and one of the sink plugs. We reported it to our concierge and people were sent to fix these but the fridge was only fixed 2 days before leaving and the plug was never actually fixed. Balcony was great with a jacuzzi (the kids loved it), sun lounger, table and sofa. We were unfortunately on the side of the hotel facing the road which was noisy and not very picturesque- note there are no sea view rooms here because it is NOT on the beach! An internally facing room would’ve been better but we weren’t overly bothered honestly as spent so little time outside on the balcony. Overall room was 8/10 (better view & non faulty areas would’ve made it a 10/10) Location: Ideal location, next to the beach but not ON the beach - a very quick 2 minute shuttle can be taken from either the main lobby or the splash park or can be walked in around 10 minutes - it’s a very pretty walk with nature / animals around and a lovely lake. We are not beach people so didn’t care in the slightest but it was fine on the occasions we did visit. Close to the airport but not close enough to notice it! Overall 9/10 Food: A handful of options and always something for everyone. We found the food here to be some of the best we have had at an all inclusive resort. Some were not good at all but others were amazing and really made up for it. Buffet - best buffet we’ve ever experienced. Good variety, fresh and yummy food!! No themed nights but no 2 nights were ever the same! We actually clover coming here and seeing some of our favourite staff! (Tip; sit outside for the best service you’ll ever receive from the fabulous duo who run the outside area!! They truly made our trip amazing) 10/10 Sal steakhouse - great food. We tried everything from the menu and no complaints. The skirt steak and sirloin were divine and cooked perfectly! The chicken breast was amazing too. Ate here many times. 10/10 Tori Asian: fabulous food. All dishes are lovely and cooked beautifully. Ate here multiple times as well. 10/10 Hibachi: bloody brilliant!!! David was amazing with the family and got everyone involved and having a great time!! Food was also so tasty! 10/10 Pool restaurant: was okay. It is what it is, quick poolside food. Not bad but nothing special. 6/10 Mangu (changed to zesty during our stay): great food. Good service. Quick and tasty 9/10 Lemon fish: we only ate here for al a carte breakfast (had this as part of the concierge service) - food was great but it was very very slow. We were the only ones there and food took an hour to come. Didn’t eat there for dinner as we aren’t fish people but have heard good things. 6/10 Aqua marina: only ate here once for dinner and it was awful. Kids chicken nuggets came out cremated - sent them back and they came back the same. All dishes missing accents (steak was missing the potatoes, but we weren’t told this and were just serves a plate of meat) various issues with food being cold. - not a good experience and ended up at the buffet after. HOWEVER the manager of the restaurant was appalled at this and located us to apologise and offered to make it right and it was really nice to have them actually care. Didn’t try lunch here but the menu looks good - the dinner experience put us off really but not really bothered as again we don’t care for the beach and also the restaurant was so hot it was insufferable! 2/10 Overall the food was very good and we have some very fussy eaters and big foodies within the group. High standards for an all inclusive resort!! We bad no issues getting tables for a group of 8 at all. Service: We saw many people slating the service here but honestly could not have had a more different experience. 99% of the staff are wonderful. Yes there are some who would clearly rather be anywhere else but the vast majority and beyond great. From the polite maids / minibar people who despite not speaking English were still smiley and friendly with us, to the wonderful pool concierge (shoutout to Steven!!) restaurant staff are always friendly and everyone who walks past is offering smiles and well wishes. Overall 10/10 for service. Family concierge: We had Omar look after us for our trip and he was good. Quick to fix any issues and always quick to respond to queries etc. happy and helpful and a breath of fresh air - nothing ever seemed too much for him. He also helped my (now) fiancé arrange the most beautiful proposal!! 8/10 Entertainment: Eh. Some of the worst we’ve experienced in the Caribbean. Nightly shows, despite being really good performances, are in a tiny cramped space and we hard to stand and watch with how noisy this small space made it. I would hate to be here during high season during American school breaks as it would be impossible to see or move in the small space. There is no theatre etc and poorly laid out for entertainment. Luckily with the young children we either skipped the shows or went to fun republic. 2/10 Kids club: Brilliant. Our older kids 5&8 begged to go daily and would have happily spent the entire trip here if they could. They both suffered ear infections in our 2nd week so spend a lot more time in the kids club due to not being able to go in the pool and they loved every minute. The staff are great and friendly and the girls even had braids done by the lovely Mary whilst there! 10/10 Fun republic: Most of the staff here are phenomenal. Happy and cheerful throughout. Note that alcohol (except wine and beer) is NOT included. Everything else is. Food is meh - burgers are nice but everything else is just okay. Very very slow service and the waitress there is awful. Rude and snarky and just awful. All others seemed okay! The activities are great and amazing that these are all included with the hotel?! 9/10 Special event team: My fiancé had dealt with Susanna from the event team and I do not know the details as expected but he has no complaints and has been impressed. They truly made the moment memorable and magical. 10/10 Overall we had an Amazing trip and would love to return. Everything was beyond expectations and just great. We have been here out of high season and there were always beds free around the pool until around 11am.

This is a truly beautiful resort immaculately clean. Very friendly staff happy and accommodating, room beautiful and with family concierge, ours was Omar 👏 nothing to much trouble always sorting restaurant booking with ease. After reading bad reviews re food was concerned but can truly say the food here us wonderful and very tasty. The staff throughout are very helpful from sorting towels at the pools to general chatter and friendliness. Would deffo recommend this resort to others and would come back another time. Last thing, don't be put off by any bad reviews visit for yourself and you will love it too x.xx

The service was excellent especially the professional attention with which we were attended by the hostess, Dennises and Carla. The supervisor of the Sal Emmanuel restaurant was friendly and welcoming during my stay
