We recently stayed ten days in a room on the Sun Club side. Our room was on the first floor walking out to the pool and we were concerned about the noise once we were assigned that room. Fortunately, the sliding doors were very soundproof and we never had any noise issues. The room as a whole was fine. It wasn't luxurious or anything like that, but it served its purpose. The A/C was cold and the bed was comfortable (our two biggest hopes for the room). Check-in was very easy at the Sun Club building. Five minutes total. There were long lines at the main lobby many of the times we passed by, so that's one of the great perks of upgrading. The restaurants were all pretty good for the most part. The a la carte restaurants were probably and 8/10 and the buffets were 7/10. Our three favorite were Hibachi, Italian and Mexican. Hibachi is the only one you have to make reservations for and that's at 3 pm each day. Get there 10 min early because there's always a line for reservations. The beach was beautiful but did have a bit of the seaweed smell at night and early in the morning. That's no fault of the resort though, they kept on top of it. The pools were nice, clean and not too overcrowded. Overall, it was an excellent value for what we paid. It was our second time coming here so we knew what to expect going into it. If you expect perfection, you'll probably want to pay more for a different resort. Oh, and the staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. Special shout-out to Ariela at Kaleidoscope. She chatted with us each day at breakfast or lunch, really going above and beyond to welcome us, ask us how our day was going, etc.

Very good entertainment and people

Summer vacation with my travel buddy- 13 yr old son, my friend and her 14 yr old son. We were roomed at opposite end of the resort but that was okay. Manuel from reception was amazing and very warm. Our 7 day stay went very quickly. The entertainment crew and dancers were my favorite of my stay. Timon, Chocolate, Bombon, Coca Cola, Skye... thank you for letting us feel great on our vacation. The sunscape dancers are very talented and amazing!!! ALL of them (Butterfly, Summer, Starling, Yogurt, Ken and Primavera (Spring)10 stars. The coconuts bar on the beach made great drinks thanks to Johan and Juan. My son especially enjoyed the banana mama drink. I had the luxury of having a pool at my fingertips thanks to the swimout room in building 17. I will say that I did not like having a shower in the middle of the room. It had water everywhere after we showered. I had to put multiple towels down to stop the water from flowing out into the room. Gracias to Blanca our Camarita. I was able to use my translation app to communicate with her and she took care of the room well. Her kind service is much appreciated. The food overall was, as my son would say, MID. The food was cold and did not offer variety. Tiki Taco was the only restaurant we enjoyed and repeated our meals there. Very disappointingly the beach was my worst experience at this resort, and this made me sad because I am a beach lover. There was a large amount of seaweed and though they attempt to bar it off, some still got through creating a brown cloudy and murky beach water to swim in. The water changed the colour of my silver jewelry causing me to remove them and in doing so lost 2 bracelets. This was on day 1 and the only time I went swimming in it for my entire trip. My son did not enter it at all. My overall rating fir the food and room is a 2.5. The entertainment crew and Sunscape coco dancers were 10 out of 10.

We had an excellent service from everyone, especially Carlos, Martin, Arielle, Rosario, Teddy and Gabriella! Kaleidoscope was excellent!! Great omelettes from Martin as well! Thank you.
