Belambra Clubs - Hotel L'Oree des Pistes

I've skied in numerous resorts across Europe and Canada. This review is based on a hotel which is rated 3 stars. In other words; "you get what you pay for". This hotel is excellently located about 50 metres from the very efficient Jandri lift and is essentially allows a ski in/ski out experience. The room was very spacious (a twin and a single) and would go as far as saying this was one of a largest rooms I can recall being allocated. It was cleaned every day to a good standard. I was slightly concerned about the room overlooking the ice rink noting other reviews making mention of this, however, the music promptly stopped at 9.15pm each evening and did not in any way spoil the stay. The food was buffet style with plenty to choose from and on the whole was quite tasty although was often cold. The hotel could benefit from additional heating to keep the food warm. However, I revert back to my previous statement 'you get what you pay for' and in that context, the food was pretty decent and certainly wouldn't consider this to be a reason not to stay here. That said we ate in the Brasserie one evening (hotel allows a swap for one night) and I was very disappointed with the general atmosphere (layout needs to improve) and steak had a distinct burnt taint. Likewise, the bar completely lacked any atmosphere and felt unwelcoming so we went to a local pub each evening. The ski room is a good size with individual lockers allocated to each room. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English although I always try to use a bit of French as a matter of respect. In summary this is an excellent 3 star hotel and the skiing in Les Deux Alpes is excellent. I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

The position of the hotel is perfect in the centr of the village. Five steps from the bootroom and you are at the bottom of the slope just five metres from the massive and very efficient Jandri cable car. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The dining room is very pleasantly set out. Breakfast has everything you might want and is very good quality. Dinner is also good quality. Both meals are buffet style. There is plenty of food at dinner but because many people load their plates with a portion of every meat and fish on offer and more than one dessert, some things run out. Therefore its advisable to arrive early for dinner. This hotel would also be a fabulous base for a summer walking holiday too. There is a vey helpful tourist info office opposite the hotel and the bus stops in front of the hotel.

Great hotel, super friendly staff, superb cuisine, on the slopes and the Jandri station, in the heart of the village. Exceeds 3*. We will come back.

Arrived on 20th December, our welcome from reception was lovely, the hotel was warm, cosy and welcoming. Our room was a little small but served its purpose, it was clean plenty of hot water and cleaned every day. Ski lockers are perfect, the location is close to the Jandri cable car which is a great addition to L2A. Food was a little hit and miss, I’m guessing very traditional French which I personally enjoyed but wouldn’t be for everyone. Our Christmas Eve gala dinner was lovely, so much effort went into it by the staff. An excellent dinner time after a nice day on the hills. Overall I would recommend this hotel, the positives outweighed the negatives. Thank you to all the staff for making our Xmas stay really nice. PS: I love the chocolates on reception, sorry for stealing handfuls every day 👍

We are a family with 3 kids ranging from 7-17 and spent Xmas week at this hotel. It was excellent from start to finish: the rooms are clean and spacious with shower gel, coffee and are really comfy. The food was outstanding; varied and delicious. Xmas eve gala meal was the best; delicious food, wine and Moët!! The staff were also lovely. It’s right next to the main big lift and also the centre of town. Attention to detail on every level reflecting strong management and leadership. A really great hotel! Thank you to the staff for
