Location was excellent; short walk to the lifts. Closests one being Marmounts 1 and AlPauris. Free parking along the street leading up to the hotel. $25/day valet parking. Call ahead. Parking Lots nearby may be full upon arrival. Nice ski lockers located downstairs along with small rental/repair shop. Breakfast included a nice spread. Dinner menu small but tasty. Look and feel of a luxury hotel.

Me and my family recently stayed at Hotel Le Pic Blanc in Alpe d’Huez, and it was, without exaggeration, one of the most poorly organised hotel stays we’ve ever stayed at. It started badly and never improved. We had requested twin beds, yet they weren’t even made up properly on arrival, a small detail that unfortunately reflected the overall lack of care throughout our stay. The dining experience was pure chaos. At both breakfast and dinner there was nowhere to sit. Tables weren’t cleared, no one was coordinating seating, and families were left hovering awkwardly with plates in hand. The bar offered no escape either — no seats available and nowhere comfortable to unwind in the evening. The basic leisure facilities such as the pool table was broken. Breakfast was genuinely shocking. On multiple mornings there was barely any food left. No plates. No bowls. No cups. At one point, coffee was being served in bowls due to the complete lack of mugs. There was no fruit, no still water available, and the selection was minimal at best. It felt unprepared and completely overwhelmed. Dinner was equally disappointing. The food was cold, and the menu consisted of the same four options every single night — something we’ve never encountered here before. The lack of variety made it feel repetitive and poorly thought through. Housekeeping was no better. There were times with no towels provided, broken towel rails were never fixed, and despite raising issues, there was never a manager available to speak to. There was simply no sense of accountability. Me and my family have stayed at hotel le pic blanc in previous years, and have felt that its service has gone severely downhill. I would not recommend staying here at all and especially in February half term. Overall, the stay felt chaotic, understaffed, and far below the standard you would expect from a hotel of this level in Alpe d’Huez. We left frustrated and disappointed, and unfortunately would not return.

We have stayed at this hotel three times, the last two experiences were fabulous however our recent stay was very disappointing. It was February half term so the hotel was full but you should not fill a hotel if you do not have room for guests to eat breakfast and sit in the restaurant and bar area. The experience was quite shocking. We came down for breakfast and there was no where to sit and no tables available. The food was not replenished. They ran out of plates, cups, bread, fruit, bowls, hot food, scrambled egg, hash browns , bacon everything . Some days my grown up children had a dry pancake after waiting 10 mins for a plate because there was no food left at breakfast and it wasn’t replenished, It was beyond a joke. I went to the local supermarket and brought my own yogurt and fruit for breakfast as the fruit ran out and was not replenished. We were told the delivery had not arrived but there was fruit in the supermarket. We either couldn’t book for dinner as the restaurant was full with half board guests. One evening we managed to get a table at 8.45 pm and our food was lukewarm. We asked for twin beds for our teenage children and it was made as a double bed. We asked for separate quilts and these were delivered without covers on. I had to put the covers on the quilts myself and separate the beds myself . Towels were not replenished and bath robes were not replaced. A very disappointing stay and we will seriously consider if we will come back. There were not enough staff and no one to seat you in the restaurant , which meant 2 people were sat at a table for four and a family of four had to be separated. This was a completely different experience to the previous two times we had stayed here and was very disappointing stay.
