Aria

Like so many Nice hotels, this one is underwhelming in every way. My room on the ground floor was shabby, with paint chipping from walls and ceiling. The pillows and bed linen were uncomfortable. The front desk worker was condescending and made a point to ask us not to adjust the air conditioning. My room smelled of mold, and had visible water damage on the wall and floor. For the money, you can find a better place to stay.

If I could give this place less than a 1 star I would. Very disappointing customer service — would not recommend. We chose Aria over several hotels specifically because we needed three separate beds for four friends. After our room door would not unlock and staff were unable to fix it, we were moved to Vendôme, a cheaper hotel room with only two beds and a completely different layout. We arrived around 8:30 PM and weren’t checked in until 9:45 PM, losing over an hour of our evening. We had also planned our beach and dinner reservations around Aria’s location. The biggest disappointment was how the situation was handled afterward. Despite the price difference and downgrade, the hotel refused any refund or meaningful compensation. They considered a “free” taxi and breakfast compensation, even though the taxi was necessary because they moved us, and we didn’t even want the breakfast. We repeatedly requested a three-bed room and to speak with a manager, but were denied. Problems happen, but refusing to properly address them is what made this experience unacceptable. The lack of accountability and customer service was extremely disappointing, and I would strongly recommend that future guests—especially groups—think twice before booking Aria or Vendome.

This hotel is a very mixed bag. It has a nice location on the square, a decent presence and a generally pleasant staff. However, the drawbacks leave me wanting. Most notably, the walls are very thin, so if you are unlucky enough to be situated next to someone who makes any noise at inconvenient moments, you are at their mercy. In my case, on one night I got up at 5am in order to speak with my next-door neighbors, who were talking at normal volume as they prepared an early morning departure, and were plainly audible in my room. Thankfully they were accommodating after the fact, but my sleep definitely suffered throughout our visit. I also found the environment shoddily or uncomfortably arranged in some cases. E.g. the toilet is latterly touching the tub, such that the lid would graze the tub when lifted. There was also no way to latch the bathroom which was enclosed behind a sliding door.

True value for money & well located near to everything.. including the train station - I tried this one after exhausting myself after an Arbnb and a Marriot brand fooling me with pictures that didn't match reality , I checked in here with similar hopes but was happy with the result.. the same day after 2 disappointing rounds ( and wasting almost 700Euros with both other brands & uber )

Comfortable bed. Good aircon. Nice breakfast. Bathroom was “okay”. Cramped. Bedroom was small. Curtains and external shutters meant room was dark for sleeping. Some vehicle noise outside, but not excessive. We didn’t experience noisy guests in the hotel. Hotel staff were pleasant So all in all, a positive experience. Pleasant neighbourhood.
