SOWELL HOTELS La Plage

This is NOT a 4 star hotel. It's a site with various apartments like Butlins but without the entertainment! Restaurant is a basic canteen with NO service other than clearing played from tables. Wine served from a dispenser. You have to maker up packed lunch as it's closed during afternoon. Coffee in bar is self service from machine into paper cups. Jet2 mention a nearby road but don't mention the adjacent busy railway line. The local area is very nice but would NEVER return to here if Jet2 term it 4 star.

We had a wonderful stay, the staff in all areas were very welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious, with a beautiful view from the balcony. We went all inclusive and the food was varied and delicious,with a great drinks selection too. Takeaway pots are provided for lunch to take out. Afternoon snacks of cakes and croissants.A clean well kept complex of different apartments. Lovely roof terrace pool, kept clean. Great evening atmosphere on the roof terrace with entertainment singer with the wonderful views of the beach just across the road. Great location, as not too near the hustle and bustle of the town , just tranquil enough to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There is a subway to the beach via some steps opposite the restaurant for a safer crossing, you can hire sun beds, umbrellas, paddle boards and kayaks. It is about a 40 minute walk into Saint Raphael , with little beaches along the way or there is a bus stop right outside the hotel, to get a bus into the town, which is beautiful, with its harbour, shops, restaurants, street bric a brac market, beach, children’s carousel, big wheel, museum and a train station. There is also another train station a 20 minute walk from the hotel called Boulouris sur Mer, we booked a train on line to go to Monaco for the day, for an experience, which took an hour and a half at €18 return. There is a shop , for essentials a 20 minute walk from the hotel also. A fantastic place to stay , thank you for your wonderful hospitality 🙏🏼 we would definitely return

All was good.... but I don't understand why there is no door to the bathroom in the hotel rooms :-) ?? There is a mini fridge and microwave in the room....a bonus we didn't know when booking the vacation....a plus :-)

excellent location, accommodation and services. There was a big choice to use pools ( roof-top and normal) or just cross road and be on the beach!

everything was very good, personnel, food, drinks, people staying looked all very happy and even the weather was great !
