The Meru Sanur

A truly wonderful resort in every way. Amazing staff, immaculate gardens and grounds, stunning suites, food and drinks delicious. And the relaxing and peaceful vibes made it a perfect place to immerse into the Balinese state of pure bliss.

We’ve just had the most wonderful family stay at The Meru Sanur and couldn’t recommend it highly enough! We stayed in a Premier Tropical Suite, with our older children in a Tropical Suite, and from the moment we arrived we felt incredibly well looked after. Ed, the manager, and every member of the restaurant and resort team were exceptionally attentive, friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast had an amazing choice, the pool was beautifully relaxing and the perfect temperature, and the gym was really well equipped. The views were stunning, with exceptional sunrises every morning, and the whole resort had such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The perfect family holiday — we loved every minute and will definitely be back!

Fantastic service and a lovely spot on the beach. Canopies and drinks were lovely in the lounge area. The pool was Devine.

Poor experience. Impersonal and not 5 star. Does not compare to other large hotels we have stayed at in Sanur and Jimbaran. Staff need to learn more personalisation and connect with people. Room phone broken so could not call for room service when arriving on a late flight and could not contact anyone to fix. Tried three WhatsApp numbers and didn’t get prompt replies. Addressed concerns to team member in hallway, he didn’t follow up. Could not call reception to collect bags at checkout. Less than average. Would not go back.

We just got back from our Bali trip and had a really great experience with Mr Fajar for our family photoshoot. In just 30 minutes, he managed to cover 4 locations without making us feel rushed. He made us feel comfortable, guided us through all the poses, and made the whole shoot really easy and fun. Even our toddler enjoyed herself, which was a big plus! The photos turned out beautifully and Mr Fajar was professional, friendly and patient throughout. Really happy we did this and would definitely recommend him for a Bali photoshoot!
