Overall, we had a mixed experience at the hotel. The hotel itself has some very nice areas — the reception, outdoor spaces and swimming pool are pleasant, and the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The rooms are also cleaned every day, which was definitely a plus. One thing worth knowing before booking is that the hotel has both a newer, renovated part and an older part, and there is quite a noticeable difference between the rooms. Some of the renovated rooms look very modern and attractive, while the older rooms have a much more dated appearance. It is therefore worth checking which type of room you are booking, as the photos may not fully reflect the differences between the various parts of the hotel. The location is also something to consider depending on what you are looking for. The hotel is convenient if you need access to the motorway or the surrounding area, but if your main purpose is visiting Bologna city centre, it is quite far from the main attractions and public transport options are limited. For us, there was essentially one practical bus connection to the city. This is not necessarily a disadvantage, but it is useful information when planning your stay. The swimming pool itself is a nice facility, but sun loungers and umbrellas are available for an additional charge. This was unexpected for us, as we had not noticed this information when booking, so I think it is worth knowing in advance. Breakfast was probably the weakest part of our stay. The selection was the same every day, with very little variety, and unfortunately we did not particularly enjoy the scrambled eggs either. We also experienced some issues with the bed, mainly an uncomfortable mattress and a very squeaky bed, which affected our sleep. During our stay we also noticed several new insect-like bites appearing after each night. We did not report this immediately because initially we thought they might have been caused by something from outside. The hotel later took our comments seriously and arranged additional checks. I would also like to add that after we shared our concerns, the hotel responded personally and professionally. They took the time to address our feedback, explain the situation and genuinely tried to improve the experience. I really appreciate that approach, as it showed that guest feedback is taken seriously. So while there were several aspects of our stay that could be improved, there were also positive things — friendly staff, daily housekeeping and some very pleasant areas of the hotel. I hope that the ongoing renovations will gradually bring the older parts of the property up to the same standard as the newer ones.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! The service was friendly and professional. The entire hotel was spotless, the pool was great, and breakfast was super (if you exclude the coffee machines that were constantly on strike 😀). It quickly became our family's favorite place, and we will definitely be back!

This trip was booked as a budget getaway, with the price initially appearing as good value. A hotel near the beach was not booked initially, as this hotel appeared to have a pool, and from the pictures looked good enough, when accompanied by a 4 star rating. However, after completing the non refundable booking, you shortly after receive an email to tell you that sun loungers will cost €31.50 on weekends for two, and €22 on weekdays. (Each day) Never have I ever been to a hotel claiming to be 4 stars where this is the case. In fact never have I been to a hotel which charges to use the sun loungers, as hotel guests. On top of this, they have machines for water in the corridor, but they do not leave a decanter in the room to fill up. Just paper cups. Walls and carpets are all marked, under the bed and the ceiling fan cover above the door is covered in dust. Toilets from long term leaks are stained. The rooms are also very dated. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear neighbours having a conversation word for word ( not raised voices) The breakfast is okay. Lots of sweet selection, and a limited variety of savoury. However on the Sunday, I did witness the garden room full of tables with empty plates, to the extent the next guests were having to clear tables to make space for themselves. If relying on public transport, be very cautious that on a Sunday the buses are few and far between, and taxis very expensive even for a short ride (not the hotels fault.) Overall, I wasn’t expecting miracles for the price. But a lot of the basic needs were not met, and some at an additional cost, and I don’t think the hotels 4 star rating is deserved. Decided to check out 2 nights early, and go and enjoy the beach instead. Next time I will read more of the reviews, as several of them mention the additional costs, but the ads do not. Something which is acknowledged in other review responses. I have not added pictures, as I don’t really care,L enough and want to enjoy the rest of what I can of my break.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly. In particular we loved the kids club- my daughter really enjoyed herself and didn't want to leave- the staff there were very good with her and made her feel happy and comfortable
