Hotel Riva del Sole - Adults Only

A really friendly welcome when we arrived at the hotel, with a complimentary welcome drink provided. We were part of a small escorted tour group staying here for a week and our room on the top floor was fabulous - a large room (305) with a panoramic balcony showing gorgeous views of the lake. We liked both breakfast and dinner choices, using local and regional produce. The best part of staying here was the general demeanor of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The ladies on reception really went out of their way to help us plan excursions on our two free days and gave us advice on where to go.

Yes this hotel does need some “Tidying up”simple things like cleaning the paint off the door/ window frames But the staff more than make up for the small jobs. The hotel is only a couple of minutes away from the lake where you can find a couple of nice bars and restaurants. Ferries do stop here but I found getting back to be a problem , if you have a car then drive to one of the main towns and park there, and get a ferry from there More about the hotel, the food was good except for the Saturday we stayed,we did not complain to much as the staff were very apologetic, Sundays dinner was the best of the week As I have already stated the staff were very friendly and I hope that the management take note of this and other reviews

This hotel is a three minute walk from the lake. It is a very good hotel. Very clean, great views,lovely swimming pool and good food. The best part of staying here is the kindness of the staff. Nancy on reception really went out of her way to help us plan travel and gave us advice on where to go. The other ladies on reception were also so kind - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast had good choice but again it was the staff that made it such a good experience. A special mention must go to the lovely Sara in the breakfast room. She was friendly , helpful and so kind . Sara offered us so much help. The ferry does stop at the harbour but only after a certain date in April. Would recommend getting a hire car as public transport isn’t the best.

Quiet located hotel just minutes away from beautiful Lake Garda where there is a good promenade and a few bars / restaurants/ marina Just beginning to open up as April is still low season . I imagine it could be busy later in the season with the campsites full . Hotel is very clean ,Two receptionists are very helpful especially Nancy who organised taxis for us to get around.Defintely need a car as its a hike uphill for buses that were unreliable.Local town Square/ walk round castle is delightful . Food was excellent except for one night .I asked for pasta / in tomato sauce instead which was made especially. Can't ask more than that for service .

We recently stayed at AHG Riva Del Sole Hotel and had a truly lovely, relaxing time. The location is fantastic – just a few minutes’ walk to the lakeside – and the setting couldn’t be more beautiful. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely went above and beyond throughout our stay. We felt really well looked after. Breakfast suited us perfectly, with plenty of fresh fruit, yoghurt, nuts, pastries, and more than enough choice overall. The made‑to‑order omelettes and pancakes were a great touch. Enjoying breakfast outside on the terrace with stunning views across Lake Garda was a real highlight every morning. Our room was wonderful, with a balcony overlooking the lake – absolutely lovely to wake up to. We were half board, and the evening meals were three courses (pasta, main, dessert). There was always something tasty to enjoy. As we visited out of season, the ferry wasn't running from Moniga, so we took a short trip to Desenzano to catch the ferry instead. Not a problem at all, and still very easy to explore the area. Overall, we had a very relaxing stay in a lovely hotel in a stunning location. We highly recommend AHG Riva Del Sole Hotel and will definitely return.
