Olangerhof

We stayed at this hotel 6 nights last week and it was the worst experience in our entire life !! The hotel is positioned in a dominant area overlooking the valley with great views over the mountains, (1800 m altitude ), but is somehow isolated from Valdaora, forcing you to take all the time the car and driving 5 km on a, dangerous and difficult road, especially in heavy winter conditions. The hotel it is also equipped with a small swimming pool, with a great view but unfortunately you can not enjoy, relax and take full advantage of it because the water is not heated enough. The restaurant experience is the worst, food is mediocre, we expected to find more like traditional regional cuisine, in 6 nights I don’t think I enjoyed more than once my meal at the dinner, breakfast is was a disappointment due to lack of options without having fresh fruits and when we asked the head waiter, Angelo, if we can have some fresh fruits for our kids, he responded with a cold “NO” followed by “We have only what you see on table”! This guy destroyed our vacation with his negative vibe even from our first morning in “his hotel”, because hi is acting like he owns it, we asked him if it’s possible to change our table near the door with another table near the windows and he was so upset because we “dared” to ask him such a favor. Obviously we spoked with his manager, Silvia, but she told us “I can not help you with this issue, you must speak with Angelo” and I was asking if they have an idea that they work in hospitality sector !! In conclusion do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel if you don’t want to be seated,on your money, on a table where, Angelo, want and to be spoken rudely and with a dictatorial attitude like “sit down where your nr room is pointed”!! Peace and love from your “special guest” ✌️

Everything is marvelous - the view, the spa, the service, the food and drinks. The hotel is perched near the top of a mountain at over 1200m with spectacular views. Make sure to get half board as the dinners were all delicious with impeccable service and a great wine list. Highly recommend.

A terrible stay. Apartment wasn’t cleaned properly on arrival. Very noisy from courtyard. No cleaning throughout despite this not appearing in terms and conditions. Overpriced meal with slow service because we were put in an annex to the restaurant. When I complained about the receptionist was dismissive saying she “couldn’t turn back time” and did not put me in touch with the manager. In the end she said the manager did not have a personal email address and there as no manager on duty from 5pm until our check out the next day. When I asked to withhold 10% of my payment until I had spoken to the manager she threatened to call the police. Overall a hugely distressing and very disappointing experience.

Absolutely recomended paradise!!!! The perfect holiday starts at 1,820 metres above sea level, directly on the slopes! O.H. for us the best place in middle of the forest. From Valdaora you can drive fantastic road into the paradise. Fantastic welcome at reception. Perfect food. Perfect gym. Perfect pool. Nice and kind staff. More than helpful managment. All of your dream became true if you wil arrive this wouderful place. You need to visit, I beleive you will be returning guest like we are….

We visited Olangerhof Hotel twice together with couple of friends. We love to ski, to have a space for chat & drink after skiing, good spa. Whole concept of the mountain hotel at a ski slope is excellent. The Hotel owners and their team made our experience great. The hotel is very cosy from the moment you enter it. We found there everything we needed for 4 days skiing. - Nice experience with personnel at reception, bar, in the hotel in general - Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. - Very good tasty food, good wine & cocktail selection (Gus, you rock!) - Ski-in/out, you need to walk just a few steps. Good spacious ski room with lockers. Be ready for winter road conditions while driving uphill. We loved that :-)
