Seehof - nature retreat

Stayed here for a week on a retreat. Beautiful location - pool and sauna area. Rooms were generally average although the balcony was nice. Staff was kind except for the managers who were quite rude to me and members of my group. Food wasn't as good as anticipated.

I have very mixed feelings about my experience at Seehof. First, the positives: the location is absolutely beautiful, the food was excellent throughout our stay, and the wait staff and kitchen staff were consistently warm, kind, and professional. They were a highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, I would never choose to stay here again because of how we were treated by the owners. Our group specifically booked double rooms with the understanding that these rooms would have two separate beds. When we arrived, we discovered that the rooms actually consisted of one double bed and a couch. When we raised concerns about this, the owners were completely unwilling to acknowledge that this did not match what had been promised, nor were they willing to make any reasonable accommodation. What made the situation much worse was the behavior of the owners themselves. Both the husband and wife were consistently rude and confrontational. I was personally yelled at while trying to address the room issue, and again regarding transportation arrangements. The transportation situation was especially disappointing. The owners openly expressed frustration that they had to provide “too many rides” that day, even though transportation service is something advertised by the hotel. To make matters worse, on our departure they refused to provide transportation back to the train station for some members of our group, despite this service being listed on their website. It is unfortunate because this property has so much potential — beautiful setting, wonderful food, and excellent service staff — but the behavior of the owners completely overshadowed the experience. Because of that, I would not return and cannot recommend staying here.

Beautiful scenic resort,,with excellent food full board. Can’t thank you enough to Tamaris & Andreas Auer couple for your excellent hospitality showered on us during our visit. Still remember in India your sweet smile and excellent food which was of top notch quality. Sorry for the late reviews. Me and my wife are dying to visit you soon in near future

When you need that balance between rugged nature and total care, Seehof is a place to rest the weary head and feel completely cared for whilst set in rugged landscape, surrounded by snowy mountains. November is quiet time, so many restaurants are closed and the surrounding villages are truly sleepy. But that means an opportunity for a (digital) detox and allowing the Seehof team to care for you. The spa is understated scandi-style chic, with huge saunas, chill out spaces and a lovely warmed outdoor pool (interesting when it snows). The food is generous and certainly the best we had (although vinothek Vitis in Brixen is worth disrobing out of spa attire and venturing out). We took our books, played games in the bar, walked around the apple orchards and took a cable car up for a view. Be open to some norther-Italian, Austrian quirky experiences and, most of all, feel cared for by staying at this resort.
