Europa Stabia Hotel

I recently stayed at Europa Stabia Hotel in Castellammare di Stabia, in the Amalfi Coast region of Italy, and honestly, I don’t know where to begin because I had the most amazing experience. This was my first time travelling to Italy as a solo female traveller, and from the moment I stepped off the plane, I felt so well looked after. The hotel is in the perfect location. It’s around a 20-minute walk down to the beach, with shops, restaurants and bars along the way and at the seafront. It gave me the opportunity to see a part of Italy that feels real and authentic, not just the tourist version, although it is touristy by the beach. The people are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and everywhere I went, someone had a recommendation, a hidden gem or a place they thought I should visit. And the lovely thing was that they genuinely wanted me to have a wonderful experience. When I arrived at the hotel, I was exhausted after my flight, but I immediately felt welcomed. Francesca, who was on reception when I arrived, was absolutely lovely. She is the daughter of the hotel owner, Francesco, apologies if I have your names spelt incorrectly. Both of them went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. And it wasn't just me; they genuinely cared about all of their guests. Francesco would even sit and chat with guests at the dinner table while we waited for our food. He was genuinely interested in whether everyone was enjoying their stay and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. That personal touch really made the hotel feel like somewhere special rather than just somewhere I was staying. The location is also fantastic for exploring the area and visiting the main attractions. Reception can arrange tours for you, and I found the prices very reasonable. I did the guided Pompeii tour and climbed Mount Vesuvius, and it was honestly one of the best days of my life. It’s something I know I’ll remember for a very long time. The hotel also gave me all the advice I needed to take the ferry to Capri. I spent the whole day there, exploring and enjoying the beautiful island, and yes, I even managed a little shopping at the Piazzetta, accessed via the funicular, where you can find such shops as Prada, Gucci and Valentino next door to each other The hotel couldn’t have made things easier for me. They kindly arranged a taxi to the port, and all I had to do was text the driver about five minutes before I returned. He was there waiting for me and took me straight back to the hotel. As a solo traveller, those little things made me feel incredibly safe and looked after. I could honestly go on and on. Every member of staff was amazing. I can’t remember everyone’s names, but the lovely lady and gentleman in the restaurant were fantastic; nothing was ever too much trouble and the food was amazing. The staff around the pool were equally lovely and were always happy to let me enjoy a cheeky afternoon beer or two by the pool. 🍺😂 Michele at reception was new during my stay, and he fitted in perfectly. He was just as friendly and helpful as everyone else. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean, as were the rooms, and I was lucky enough to have a balcony with a view of Mount Vesuvius. Waking up to that view was something special. For me, Europa Stabia is an absolute hidden gem. It’s tucked away amongst the streets of real Italy, in a beautiful location, with wonderful people who genuinely care about their guests. As a solo female traveller visiting Castellammare for the first time, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I felt welcomed, safe, looked after and, most importantly, I felt like I was experiencing the real Italy. If you ever get the chance to visit Castellammare di Stabia, in this beautiful part of the Amalfi Coast, **stay at Europa Stabia Hotel.** You won’t regret it. We have just returned from our Honeymoon in Italy where we stayed at Europa Stabia Hotel. We had a wonderful stay, Francesco, the owner, couldn't do enough for us and the all the staff are friendly and attentive. The hotel was clean and set in beautiful surroundings and the pool was quiet and relaxing. The food is delicious and staff are on hand at all hours. The location of the hotel is perfect for getting to Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and all round the Amalfi coast using the circumvesuviana train. The hotel is at the top of a steep hill, we used taxis to get back after a day out however, speak to Francesco regarding taxi drivers as I think we paid over the odds at the start of the week. If you are looking for a relaxing, traditional Italian, family run holiday experience, this is the hotel for you! Thank you to Francesco and all the staff for making our honeymoon perfect!

Incredible stay at the hotel in the city of Castellammare de stabia, fantastic service especially a pleasure with the sweet and very helpful personal and Francesco is the best!

I booked this hotel quite short notice for my friend and I for 7 nights and overall we had a good experience. The price was very reasonable, especially for the length of our stay, and we felt that we got good value for money. However, it is worth noting that some things come at an additional cost, such as the fridge, air conditioning and pool. Our room did experience some noise from outside at times, but it wasn’t that big of an issue for us and didn’t really affect our stay. All of the staff were incredibly kind, friendly and welcoming, and the owner especially went out of his way for us whenever we needed anything, which we really appreciated. The hotel is around a 20-minute walk from the shops, train station and other amenities, which we didn’t mind at all. The walk back to the hotel is a little more difficult as it is mostly uphill, but we were happy with the location. As two 18-year-old girls, we also felt very safe staying here and travelling around the area. The location is fantastic for exploring some of the most beautiful places in the area, including Sorrento, Amalfi, Pompeii and Positano. We were able to visit lots of different places during our stay, making it a great base for exploring. Overall, we really enjoyed our 7-night stay and would recommend this hotel, especially if you’re looking for somewhere reasonably priced, with lovely staff and a great location for exploring the surrounding area. Another note- a taxi to this hotel was €190 from Naples airport which we didn’t realise at the time, as it was late at night. On the way back we got the train to Naples and then the airport bus which was only €10 - I would recommend doing that- although I am not sure walking up those hills with suitcases was possible as it was quite hard to bring them down the hill. The hotel is located close to the city center and just a short walk from the train station. The entire place is amazing, and the staff are super nice and helpful—they truly made our stay unforgettable. We stayed for 5 nights, and the rooms were always perfectly clean when we returned at the end of the day. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was the perfect start to each morning. We were absolutely amazed by the city; there are so many activities that you can’t ever get bored in Castellammare di Stabia. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a vacation in Italy. I can’t express enough how much we loved our stay, which was largely thanks to this hotel and its wonderful team. Grazie mille!
