Hotel Herculaneum

Hotel je jen přes ulici a jste u vchodu do zbytků starobylého města Herculaneum. Hotel je komfortní, čistý, personál profesionální a velmi příjemný . Můžu říci, že jsme se cítili velmi dobře. Krásná terasa a příjemné posezení. Ráno při snídani, si můžete vybrat z bohatého bufetu plus vám přinesou místní speciality jako pozornost podniku. Byl to pro nás krásný a příjemný pobyt.

Stayed in a quad room with 2 adult and 2 children (11 and 14). Location: The location is brilliant, just a 10 minute walk from the Ercolano Scavi station, giving easy access to Naples and the Sorrento area - we took the train to Pompeii, it didn’t take long, but we found the train network incredibly confusing and unreliable, so watch out if you have times tickets for any tourist attraction. Room: The rooms are a little tired, but very clean. There was plenty of space in the room for 4 people and the beds were super comfortable. There is a fridge in the room with a selection of drinks in, which you pay for what you take. We just stored our own drinks in here. Breakfast: Breakfast is very basic with a small selection of meat and cheese, bread, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt and some croissants. Adequate to start your day. Service: Service was very good, when we arrived we were greeted by Matteo who gave us lots of hints and tips for getting around and good places to eat; we ate at Rovi (across the road from the entrance) a couple of times and it was absolutely delicious. My husband arrived a day late and the hotel organised a taxi from Naples airport to the hotel, which we paid for when we checked out (€60).

We stayed here for 3 nights to enjoy both the ruins at Herculaneum and also Pompeii and the stay was really pleasant and convenient. Breakfast was plentiful and the service from the gentleman at the front desk was exemplary!

This is a very modest property that needs a major overhaul. On the bright side: -- it is directly across the street from the Herculaneum ruins and just down the street from the Archeological Museum. -- the staff were friendly and helpful -- the breakfast was very good. On balance, we wouldn't stay there again.
