Hotel San Mauro

This hotel was 4 stars probably 20 years ago. Today is a 2 stars max. The hotel is very outdated with stained carpet and old and uncomfortable mattress. But for that area that’s what you are going to get. Lots of tour groups stay there so it can become busy at times.

My wife and I went from the 4th of November to the 14th of November 2022 On the first day that we arrived we looked at the leisure facilities which we thought were part of the hotel but they are not and that we had to pay to use these facilities where on the brochure it is showing as complementary and did not have anything written to say that you have to pay. The room itself had plaster coming off the walls and the ceiling and when we complained to the hotel about being cold this is what they said 'that this room is the only heated room in the hotel.' There was black mould around the shower and to think we had spent about £1200 to £1500 for this accommodation half board for 10 nights at this hotel we were unable to use the complementary outdoor swimming pool which had algae all around it and was not fit for purpose when I pointed this out to the front desk about the algae in the swimming pool they simply shrugged their shoulders and pretended not to understand my English. This has to be the worst rated 4-star hotel that I have ever been to the agent loveholidays are the worst agent and to date have claimed no responsibility and have firmly stated that a complementary refund of £50 is all that I would get when I complained about this refund they withdrew the £50 and have not called me back. The hotel compensated me with £128 because of misrepresentation and misleading information about the facilities as being not part of the the hotel. I have photos and email going back and forth with the rep. It is is it is disgusting that in this day and age you can still get ripped off by fullstar hotels who claim to have an outstanding facility for them all I will never use love holidays to travel will I use this hotel.

Excellent hotel. Staff were amazing. So friendly. We had little to no Italian and they had little English but we managed to communicate effectively. 😊 The hotel 🏨 s situated in a remote location but they provided a free shuttle service to the local train station, Salice and if was only 4 stops to Napoli Centrale station so everything worked out. We were also able to pay to go to other areas nearby to try the local cuisine. Great base for us as we travelled to Rome, Sorento and Capri.

San Mauro is a beautiful hotel with comfortable and easy accessible rooms and amenities. Rooms are large, comfortable and VERY clean. Food is 5 star, staff fast and very friendly. Pool deck large. Excellent throughout. Highly recommended.

We booked this hotel just for one night since we came from outside Naples for an early flight the day after. When we arrived we was welcomed by the staff in the reception, they were very helpful and supported our every need. We told them we would leave 4 AM the day after, so they arranged something for us to take with us, since we couldn't have breakfast before we left to airport. The kids loved the hotel pool even if it was a bit cloudy. We had a dinner in the hotel in the night, the menu was big with lots of selections for all family. Very good prices and nice food and service... Had stayed at more exclusive hotels during this trip, but this was worth more than the 100 EUR a night... STRONGLY recommend this for a short stay!
