Hotel San Remo

I have been here before, and the hotel was fine then, but recent refurbishments have improved it further. My room was very clean and the facilities were all new. It was nice and quiet. As the breakfast room was being upgraded, we ate breakfast at the hotel next door, which worked nicely and was very nice. The hotel is close to Termini station and not far from attractions such as the Museum of Rome, Opera, and Santa Maria Maggiore Church.

Hotel under construction no advance notice, Rude staff very unhelpful. Room recently decorated. No coffee shop as advertised no place to have a drink or food you have to go to sister hotel next door . Definitely put a damper on the break . I’ve never stayed in a hotel like this before I think the staff should look for new jobs as they obviously are not happy here.

The hotel itself is currently under renovation, we are not advised of this beforehand. I was on the 3rd Floor, brand new room, heating was not working, called reception and they sent a young fella to the room to fix it but he had no clue. The following evening, it the same. My friend got me an extra duvet instead. Wifi also did not work in the room, advised reception and he just shrugged it off. No dining room or lobby open, was directed their sister hotel next door. Despite having a kettle in the room, there was no milk sachets for tea/coffee, it was not available when I asked as there is currently no kitchen on site. I was very disappointed with this hotel, after being out all day long sightseeing, its a basic necessity to have heat in your room.
