I was on a Cosmos tour. Elderly and had to walk on a busy highway to another hotel. Also never got a wake up call. Cosmos said hotel promised lake view. I faced the highway and complained. But staff said even if you get a sliver view on balcony its lake view.

Beware: Misleading Information! There is NO SWIMMING POOL and no private beach at this property. On their website (and on booking platforms), the hotel is presented as having both, which is completely misleading. • The so-called swimming pool is actually a waterpark located 2 km away. • The “beach” is a public beach across a very busy road, about a 5-minute walk. We specifically chose this hotel because we thought it offered a pool, so we felt completely deceived by these marketing tactics. Rooms: We stayed on the 6th floor (room 610), which appears to be part of a newer section. Everything in the room was new and in good condition. Staff & Service: The staff was friendly. However, at checkout, they added a 5% “tip” to the bill. They do say you can reduce or remove it, but this practice feels unacceptable—especially since this isn’t a full-service hotel (no daily cleaning, no breakfast, and very limited interactions with staff). Parking: Parking costs €16.50 per day, but you can easily find free parking outside if you don’t mind a short walk. Overall: We were disappointed and felt misled by the false advertising. Unless they change their communication to be transparent, I cannot recommend this place.

We stayed at Residence Carl and Do Baveno Hotel which was the first stop of our Italian Glory tour with Trafalgar. Our 2 bedroom suite was recently renovated. It was spacious and open with 3 balconies overlooking beautiful Lake Maggiore. Couldn’t ask for more. Unfortunately, my husband suddenly became unwell just prior to departing from home. By the time we arrived in Baveno, his symptoms had not improved. With the help from the front desk, they were able to find a Doctor that was willing to meet my husband in our suite. The Dr. asked many questions and was able to prescribe a prescription. Each day his health improved. If it wasn’t for the quick action of the staff, we would not have been able to continue with our planned tour. We will forever be grateful for the care shown by the staff at Residence Carl and Do Baveno. Thank you!!!

Great location and great place! We stayed here in June. Rented a 2 bedroom for 3 nights but we actually were upgraded to a 3; bedroom which was a pleasant surprise. We were on the second floor and had a partial lake view. Yes sitting outside on the balcony did have some car noise but it was fine! Bathrooms were huge and clean; toiletries provided. Hotel also has a game room for kids and a laundry facility. AC worked sometimes but we were not in the room much. Free passes to the Aquapark were provided. You need to drive there since the road is too busy for walking. It’s a convenient location; close to lido beach, ferry stop, and main square. Highly recommend!

Before starting with the report, just to share that this report is based on our experience with a 2 room apartment of 7th floor, top level with lake view. The location is great, very short walking distance to supermarket, center of village, public park (opposite to the hotel) and lake “beach “. The apartment is big, sleeping rooms are big, living room and dining are good and the bathroom is huge with two showers in it. Furnitures are in decent shape. Kitchen in clean condition and has all basics, no dishwasher; fridge working well and clean. This residence is not a hotel, therefore, no room service (stood 10 days, received a set of clean bed and towel set after some days, you will have to exchange). Parking was free, because of COVID, we assumed that we could park on public spots, otherwise, the hotel has parking at 9€ per night. The only thing to bring up is, that on Booking.com it was not very clear and a bit confusing the topic referring to the swimming pool. On the web you can see a picture of a swimming pool. This pool does not belong to the hotel nor it is located downstairs in the same complex. At reception you will receive a Voucher for a swimming pool at 3 minutes by car and 20+ minutes walking without public transport. All in all, we liked it very much, but had to drive the daughters to the pool and pick them up, which for us wasn’t an issue. Price wise, very good compared to the closed by hotels.
