Hotel Ghiffa

I had hoped that the negative reviews from previous years—about poorly cleaned, outdated rooms and subpar food—would no longer apply after the recent renovations. Unfortunately, not much seems to have changed. The rooms are passable, but details disappoint: one small (warm) bottle of water for four people, and cheap plastic cups instead of proper glasses. Dinner service is Michelin-level in terms of formality and presentation—but the food is just as underwhelming as past reviews suggest. Breakfast was, however, on another level entirely—the worst hotel breakfast I’ve ever had (and I’ve stayed at over 150 hotels). The selection was minimal, and the overall quality resembled something from a low-budget school cafeteria. Dinner is included in the half-board package, but we ended up choosing a nearby restaurant just five minutes away instead. Frankly, I would rather pay extra not to eat at this hotel than the other way around—even though I’d already paid for it. Also worth noting: lunch service ends at 12:00, and the beach restaurant only serves a toast and a very uninspired frozen pizza.

Such a pretty and neat hotel, rooms are up to date, beds are really comfy! Private parking comes in really handy. Breakfast was great, beachbar down by the water is superb. Lovely staff! Village is small but the surrounding towns are nearby.

To many reasons to mention why a break was essential - couldn’t have landed a better location - found the staff efficient yet afforded tranquility - Requests were greeted with shift conclusions If you felt short changed - your concerns are acknowledged and resolutions provided in good humour and without hesitation We can always find fault almost as soon as one arrives anywhere after the journey- (WizzAir really achieved to provide the worst experience ever) But once settled into the 3rd day after the disappointing SUNDAY DINER I felt we couldn’t have chosen a better hotel Book & relax

We have rented 2 scooters here with the kids and we enjoyed it very much! The scooter were easy and lovely to drive. The staff was very polite and helpfull. We made a beautiful trip with our kids. We would love to go back again next time! Thank you very much for your service!! We will see you again!

Thanks for these wonderful days we spent at Hotel Ghiffa. This hotel is very lovely and we enjoyed our holidays so much. Super nice Location with private beach and swimming pool. Direct access to the lake. Hotel Ghiffa is located close by the lake and offers a fantastic view. The ambience and as well the food is excellent! Thanks to all the staff members for the great service. We promise to come back.
