LAQUA by the Lake

Our 3 visit to Laqua in the last 12 months. Great concept, wonderfully executed. Rooms are stunning, well appointed with all you need, including a kitchenette. Great private beach and pool area. Very friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant is excellent, maitre d and sommelier helpful and informative. The location is ideal to easily access other local restaurants if staying a few nights and you don’t want to eat Michelin FINE dining every night. Water sports if you want, or just chill with a good book . We will return.

This property is amazing . Thank you David , Jacob , Raluca and others for a spectacular stay. The breakfast is delicious and the view of Lake Orta is dreamy . Highly recommended and we look forward to our return .

Hard to believe this is an Amex fine hotel. As previous reviews have stated, the hotel staff controls the thermostat which is bizarre and annoying. The restaurant is only okay and the rustic hotel rooms are looking old and tired. However, the setting is beautiful, the grounds, pool area and lake spectacular. And none of that can make up for the incredibly poor and uncaring service. No one appeared to be at all interested in the fact that they had guests staying with them (in one instance talking about the dining patrons in Italian; one of our family member is fluent in the language). A little warmth and caring go an awfully long way in the hospitality industry. Someone should inform the staff of this fact.

The hotel is beautiful with spacious rooms and wonderful outdoor areas including the beach and swimming pool. The staff is super friendly and helpful, we highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is peacefully located on the shores of Lake Orta, in Pettenasco, Italy. The rooms are modern and quite comfortable. The bedding is super comfortable - and the guest amenities are extensive and equisite (shampoos, body wash, pool robes and slippers, etc.). The hotel enjoys a Michelin-starred restaurant (Cannavacciuolo) which most assuredly deserves the recognition! The breakfast was prepared perfectly by kitchen staff Chefs Alfonso, Nicholas, and Andrea - and their fried eggs with bacon presentation was simple and scrumptious! The hotel staff makes your stay most memorable. The concierge David - is compassionate, super helpful and exemplifies the best of guest service! The restaurant hostess, Giada and her assistant Ciara were exceptionally friendly and engaging -- making your feel relaxed and welcome while gracefully delivering flawless service. Consierge Jacope was especially helpful in attempting to resolve a lost personal item - going above and beyond in trying to locate it. The hotel pool provides a very relaxing setting to enjoy the lake and its pastoral surroundings. Overall - this is a very comfortable hotel in a relaxing setting with world class service. After an afternoon poolside - you'll never want to ever check out!!!
