Baglioni Resort Sardinia

The resort is a solid 3 star property, that charges 5 star rates during high seasons. nothing wrong with that but when paying 1200-1400 eur a night you expect better. asked for ice. was told it was $12 eur. I went nuts and they finally agreed to deliver it. if there was an ice machine I would have got it myself but there isn't. bees at breakfast. maybe nothing you can do about it, but there is an obvious issue. so much so they had a plate of salmon left in the garden to try to attract them away. Looked disgusting and there should be better options. the ceiling fans in the breakfast area, have never been cleaned. literally covered in black filth. the cleaning is questionable in the rooms. the job in the rooms is ok, but came back today and are balcony wasn't even touched. old wine glasses, a pizza box on the floor and old towels on the chaise. in the room, they give 2 big towels to shower. asked for 2 more which they sent but took them away on the first cleaning. pretty resort, beach is public and very busy, but they have their own chairs. we didn't use and went to our own beach choices that were more private. rooms are ok, due for a renovation but for a 3-4 star, more than adequate...just not worthy of the 5 star pricing they charge. buffet was decent for breakfast. some staff are great. I found some of the reception staff to have attitude. lots of kids also. nothing wrong with that but beware if you want quiet. overall a great experience for a 3-4 star. very very disappointing for what they charge.

There are actually multiple ratings for this hotel. 5 for grounds, rooms, staff, food, privacy. Where it lacks is .. long walk to a beach that has no food or drink service. If you are hungry, thirsty or need a bathroom you need to take the long walk back to the hotel. There is a golf cart shuttle but they are few and far between. If you prefer to stay at your hotel and not leave the grounds this hotel is for you. We had a car and like to explore towns and restaurants and there is not much around. The actual town of San Theodore is not ready for upscale tourism. With all this said we did enjoy our stay. The staff is lovely and accommodating.

I would classify this resort as amazing staff Beach is good not perfect however the pool is above average only because it is portrayed as a private Beach a little bit of false advertising. Breakfast was top of the line but militant on closing at 10:30 am . The gym was slightly below average . The grounds are Top Notch 10 out of 10 . The general overall staff was beyond excellence.

You are better off staying near Porto Cervo. This place is a scam. Do not trust any of their social media content. Their beach looks nothing like this and it's not Private. It's in the middle of a very crowded public beach. This should be a three Resort. The video and photos on their websites and social media is definitely edited and is not an accurate representation. The outdoor restaurant has wasps everywhere and there is no indoor air conditioned area to eat. Room had mold in the shower and all over the air vents.

The GOOD - well run beach area and the deep clean pool and sun beds, the staff, the housekeeping, the breakfast (esp the pastries), the short walk to the beach (now fixed), provision of water everywhere, the Acqua Di Parma toiletries 😊 The BAD -price of taxi’s (€130) for a 30 min ride from airport, the astronomical price of lunchtime/evening food/drinks at the hotel (based on the isolation of hotel, lack of other restaurants/shops around) ☹️ The UGLY - offer of a ‘private’ transfer for €180 one way to the airport, the countless aggressive wasps at every meal (with no indoor seating to get away from them) . I’d definitely recommend booking somewhere less isolated and less inclined to outrightly overcharge tourists. Everyone I spoke to felt the same - and will not be returning to Sardinia. I myself live in a very touristy place and we’d never treat people like this. What a shame 👎
