Hotel Santa Gilla

This hotel is lovely. Staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. It's super clean. It has a lovely pool and grounds to stroll around in. Breakfast was plentiful. Very fresh. From pastries, hot food, fruit, yoghurt etc. Great coffee from the machine. We had dinner on the first night. For us, there wasn't great options at the buffet so the €34 each wasn't worth it. We didn't have dinner again in the hotel. The only downside, for us, was location. The bus stop was nearly impossible to find for Cagliari. One receptionist told us a different one so we waited over an hour and no bus came so we were frustrated, annoyed and in the sweltering heat of almost 40 degrees we wasted a day trying to get a bus to Cagliari. Eventually on our last day, we found the bus stop. It's literally a pole in a car park beside the water station. There's also a sheltered bus stop on the footpath but this is not the bus stop. Twice we ate in the pizzeria Goblin across the road and it was lovely. Great prices and quick service. There's a lovely beach across the road too. Overall, we would definitely return to the hotel providing the bus route/location doesn't change as we'd know how to navigate quicker. Or we'd just return for a relaxing few days away.

Lovely hotel, nice Staff. Did not eat any evening meals there, but we had breakfast, this was hit and miss with some mornings no fresh fruit, very little for Vegan/Vegitarian diet. The pool was great, but limited opening. The location of the hotel was ok, nice views over the Nature Reserve and sights of Flamingoes, but the town a suburd of Capoterra was scruffy and run down. The short walk to the beach was appreciated and the sea and sand clean. The beach Cafes/Clubs were a bit hit and miss for food, but pleasent surroundings and staff. Overall a nice holiday, with good Bus services to Cagliara and Pula.

This hotel for price and location is excellent if exploring southern Sardinia. The staff are amazing and do anything to make your stay joyful. The surroundings and pool are excellent and easily great for a family. The rooms and clean and spacious and overall we had a very comfortable stay. The beach is 10 minutes away,Cagliari is 20 mins and very easy to get to by car or bus.

Location a bit far from the airport, I recommend using taxi it was around 55€ from the airport. On the way back we hired the service at the hotel for 50€. It was genial this way because we could ask for a baby's chair. The room is comfortable with air condition, cleaning service is good, it has a little fridge so you can keep your things cool or use their minibar option. Swimming pool was wide and perfect size for adults and kids, having different "spa" corners. The atmosphere was familiar , calm and quiet, we appreciated that, even though having kids or seeing kids around. The breakfast service was quite monotonous but always good, dinners were delicious and home made. We appreciated having a lot of fish, meat, vegetable and pasta options, as well as fresh fruit for desert. The staff is super nice and made our stay like being locals. The bookshelf with adults and kids books was a nice corner for kids and a delighted surprise was a live concert from a couple that singed and played local, italian, english, french, brazilian and spanish songs. We used the gym and it was well equiped and with air conditioner. The tower service was useful too to avoid overpacking. Close to the beach, with a little mall with supermarket in the surroundings. It was worth the price for the value that they provided.
