Al Sole Terme

We read some bad reviews just before we left England, which were very unfair. The hotel is a bit dated, but that gives it a unique charm, much like going back in time. The hotel is definitely quirky, but we loved it. We booked as a base to explore Padova and it was perfect for that. We were pleasantly surprised because we absolutely loved Abano too. The train station is a good 30-minute walk from the hotel but buses stop nearby. The Sanctuary Madonna in Abano is well worth the 30-minute walk. Breakfast was good and the spa thermal pool was just wonderful, perfect after exploring Padova and Abano. Our rooms were very spacious, well equipped and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had a bath and a shower in the huge bathroom. The only negatives were lack of communication before our visit (I emailed 3 times but no reply), our door was difficult to lock, the air-conditioning didnt work and the hotel bar didn't sell Aperol (but we didn't complain). The lovely receptionist booked us a taxi to the airport for our return home. Everyone in Abano is very friendly. We loved the town and would definitely go back. We ate and drank in Padova and Abano and everything was amazing and not expensive at all. Padova is a stunning City, well worth a visit. Abano is immaculately clean and a really lovely Italian town. After long time one of worst hotel I ever been. If you select single bedroom better you don't have clastrophobia 😦😲 If you spread hands you can touch wall from one side to other. Also all guests higher then 180cm/5.9ft good luck with sleeping. Bed's are kinda short. So next issue-bathroom. Picture is below. Do they really expect that people will use this shower? Curtain was filthy, pipe where is curtain was rusty, tiles on the ground full of limescale. Couldn't turn off AC, nowhere to find remote control and switch on the wall of course wasn't working...🙄 Morning pressure was again me. Some awfull smell like from the sewer from drain in bathroom. Breakfast it's self-service. Fruit it's fresh. But everything else 🤕🤢. Bread old, cheese was having dry edges. Almost forgot...there was 1 positive thing. Sheets was clean.

Nice simple and cheap hotel !really nice for couple or business with really nice bar and termal pool ,and the rooms have everything u need and clean also have big larking place. One of best things its near the central city so it just fun to walk around near and enjoy the cute city

Una buona esperienza letti comodi buon servizio nel pulire le stanze e le camere molto ampie il cibo era discreto su alcune portate la piscina con la sauna molto buone e tutto sommato era un bel hotel
