Grand Palladium Sicilia Resort & Spa

Vychutnali jsme si krásné dny pohody a relaxu s dobrým jídlem a pitím. Především nás oslovili večeře v ala carte restauracích. Jen nás mrzelo, že z důvodu zhoršeného počasí jsme si neužili moře, ale i procházky po pláži byly příjemné.

Just coming to the end of our week stay. We’ve had an incredible holiday celebrating my 60th birthday. Would recommend to anyone. Ate in all the restaurants and one of the nicest was Changthai, beautiful food and great staff. Giancarlo, Elena H, Angelo C, Gianpaolo and Carmeloh were all great

We had a great time at the grand palladium resort. Dinner at Portofino was lovely especially the seafood risotto and the service from roberto sarlo and,Alexandra v, was excellent.

Overall, our 10-day stay at Grand Palladium has been lovely. We would like to say a special thanks to Chantal and Luigi, who looked after us in Chang Thai restaurant. Also the lovely excursion rep (I forget his name but was Italian and lovely), who was very helpful when making bookings. LOCATION: From the hotel, it was 20mins by shuttle bus to Cefalu and about 1 hour to Palermo, either by shuttle or combination of taxi/train. Nothing outside the main gates, but to be honest, there’s plenty to occupy you on site. ATMOSPHERE: We arrived late on a Weds evening, atmosphere was welcoming by all staff. Very helpful. Come the weekend and beginning of the following week, the complex became overrun with an influx of seminar people and an 80’s gathering in the main lobby. Very very noisy. Please note the hotel has a Seminar complex so be prepared for the main hotel areas to become noisy/busy. ROOM: Our room as very large with an even larger than a superking bed! The room was kept clean and smelled gorgeous. However, one of the cleaning staff ignored the “do not disturb” on the door and let herself in when we were napping. Had to complain twice to reception before they stopped. Unfortunately, the next day we got the usual knock on the door but no entry this time! VALUE: I paid almost £4k for our 10-day all inclusive holiday. In my opinion this was way over priced, considering other places we have stayed. The food areas close at certain times so not in tap all day like most places. One good thing to note though, was the mini bar in your room was free, ie, you could drink the contents for free but once it was consumed, you were then charged. You had beer, soft drinks and water; 2 of each. Also, people were still leaving towels on subbed all day here. No need for it. Plenty of space for all. Just annoying. NOISE LEVEL: In your rooms, we mostly found it quiet. The lobby could become horrendously noisy but only when there was an external party visiting. If you were looking for a quiet place for an after dinner beverage, it became unpleasant. There seems to be a total lack of management interference when it comes to noise control. One evening, when dining at El Dorado, a family of 4 came into the restaurant and proceeded to undertake a phone call on speaker phone, for approximately 20-30mins. Could t tell the nationality but they were incredibly loud and animated, and you could hear the person on the other end. This totally disrupted our meal, restaurant experience and atmosphere. We noted a couple sat near the offending family, got up and left, leaving their desserts untouched, bcos of the noise. We did complain to the restaurant manager and he apologised but that’s as far as it went. Shouldn’t be allowed.

Chang Thai was an amazing experience! Excellent and attentive service, we were made to feel very welcome by Chantal Giancarlo and the rest of the team. The dishes were very tasty and well presented. Would highly recommend!
