Mangia's Himera Resort

Hotel je velmi dobře umístěn, ale tým Bart: Danilo, Rosario, Simona, Antonella, Salvo a Gioia jsou to nejlepší, co jsem kdy potkal. Jídlo bylo velmi dobré a podáváno pěkně. Voda v bazénu velmi svěží a čistá. Záchranná služba v bazénu služeb a na pláži Vše nejlepší Mariusz z Polska

The resort looked just like the pictures and was very beautiful. The food was also good, and there was plenty of variety. What made our vacation even better was the entertainment team (especially Jack and Elia, who were very friendly and approachable).

First impression when we walked through the entrance was, wow. The lobby/reception area was spacious and welcoming. Check in was easy. Our room was very nice, with a little balcony. The bed was very comfy. Unfortunately, there weren't any coffee/tea making facilities in the room, but hey! The WHOLE hotel and grounds was spotlessly clean and spacious. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. There was entertainment/activities available during the day and evening. There was a bar open all day/evening near the pool/entertainment area. The pool area was clean & inviting with plenty of sunbeds (I have to say, the sunbeds were sturdy, comfortable and even had a sun canopy). The gardens were pretty and well maintained. The beach area; clean, with plenty of (the same) sunbeds and although there were a lot of pebbles, the views were flippin amazing. The beach bar didn't open until early afternoon (which didn't bother us), but fizzy drinks and water were always available from there if you wanted it. The sea water; If I'm honest, I have been to better, but I still really enjoyed swimming in it, which I did regularly. Unfortunately, it wasn't suitable for snorkelling. However, there was the opportunity of using paddle boards or canoes, free of charge. It was also reassuring to know there was a lifeguard as well. The restaurant; there was only one, However, the food was very good, with variety every day. There were always salads and pasta available. The ' food stations' were located in different areas of the restaurant, so queues were minimal. I did think the food warmer in the middle of the restaurant, wasn't working properly because it didn't keep the food very hot. We never go back to the same country; there's too many other wonderful places to visit and I'm the wrong side of 50. However, if we did, we would definitely go back to this hotel. My friends and I just spent a few days here to celebrate turning 40. We had a fantastic time. The staff were amazing, friendly, fun, helpful. The place is modern, exceptionally clean and beautiful. Room was fab, the very modern lighting etc was sometimes confusing to use but we got used to it. Pool is lovely. Entertainment is there if you want it with various activities each day. There are also various excursions you can book with the resort at extra cost. Food was good, a great selection of options for meat eaters. 2 of us are vegetarian and I would say options were ok, not amazing. Although the staff were very helpful, specially making us veggie options and even bringing us a special platter from the chef on the first night. If you are a veggie that eats fish, you will have no problem at all as there were a lot of seafood options. Only small negatives, we felt it was sometimes hard to tell if there was meat in certain dishes as nothing was labeled as vegetarian and a couple of times I had to ask my meat eating friends to try it first to see if there was meat or fish in it. But a good range of alternative milk is provided, including oat, soy, almond. We found drink options at the bar a bit limited. We were hoping for cocktails and there were only things like rum & coke on the menu, we would have loved some pina colada, passionfruit martini, sex on the beach etc. However there are fruit mocktails you can get and then ask for a rum or something to add yourself. So we managed 😉 Beach was ok, not amazing. We spent most of the time by the pool. Overall it was a fantastic break and we would love to come back again!
