Mangia's Himera Resort

Hotel je velmi dobře umístěn, ale tým Bart: Danilo, Rosario, Simona, Antonella, Salvo a Gioia jsou to nejlepší, co jsem kdy potkal. Jídlo bylo velmi dobré a podáváno pěkně. Voda v bazénu velmi svěží a čistá. Záchranná služba v bazénu služeb a na pláži Vše nejlepší Mariusz z Polska

I visited this hotel recently with my two daughters (aged 19 and 21) and my parents. We had chosen Sicily as somewhere different to go and the Himera came up as an affordable option for us, especially as the trip advisor reviews were very positive so I booked a week with Jet2 Holidays. The transfer was a bit over an hour but the views were lovely as we were travelling so passed really quickly. We were greeted by the lovely reception team who put on our wristbands and gave us the keycards. Once in our room we discovered we had an enormous terrace on the 1st floor which we shared with around 8 rooms (including our daughters) - I have not seen this before but it was handy when we wanted to visit their room and vice versa! The room was modern but small in size, I guess it doesn't need to be big but having a table is always good to set out your stuff. There was a lovely walk in shower and the air conditioning was the quietest I have ever come across so you didn't really know it was on. Maria, our cleaner did a fantastic job of keeping our room clean everyday and always with a smile! All the staff at the hotel seemed to really enjoy their jobs, especially the entertainment team who are always laughing with each other and the guests. Our special mention goes to Bacis who was fab at getting us involved in the various activities and made it so much fun! The entertainment itself was mainly provided by themselves - they really work hard to provide everyone a good evening! The restaurant was fantastic for coeliacs! Thankyou to Jessica and the team who was exceptional in providing my daughter and I something we could eat everyday. She would specifically come and ask us what we wanted and brought it out to us, sometimes it is difficult when you are a coeliac to ensure no cross contamination in restaurants so this was a huge thing for us (I did notify the hotel of our dietary needs before going so they could prepare - there was a basket of GF bread, and croissants in the morning on one of the counters). I do think the restaurant lacked in it's variety as a norm but what they did provide was great. You could always find a table, no hustle and bustle like you usually get as an all inclusive guest, I personally looked forward to meal times because of this and I haven't in the past. The outdoor seating area was vast and was lovely to sit outside for every meal. The hotel is remote so I agree with the majority of reviews on this but at least you know before you book it so it's up to you - there are excursions if you are willing to do a bit more travelling though! The beach is really stoney so beach shoes are highly recommended! All in all, we had a fantastic stay and the staff are a credit to the hotel which I am sure keeps people returning year after year!

Every day we had anszing fish dishes , meat and pasta Coffee fabulous ! I cant count everything !!! Entertainment staff the best ever Jack! Jack and Matew and Debore are fantastic ! They working from the hearts I cwnt remember their nanes , all staff excellent !!! I nevef liked dancing , but in this hotel i couldnt stop ! Fantastic exercises in the swimming pool ! The sea very close to Sunbeds comfortable Bar staff kind snd professional Receptionists very helpful It was our best holiday !!!

Hotel extremely clean Entertainment team was the best ever Jack , Matetew and little dancer D And all of them So professional ! They involved us to dance and sing The best exerc in the pool ! We have just returned from a 10 night stay here. We arrived in the early hours, due to severe delays from UK. The guy on reception was very friendly and polite and got us checked in quickly. Our room was on the second floor with a beautiful sea view. The room and hotel were spotless. There was plenty of storage space and a safe. The bed was very hard however. Meals were ok, however there wasn’t a lot of choice, there was never any soup. The toaster packed in early on when we were there and they seemed to replace it with a sandwich maker rather than another toaster. Drinks were self service. The staff were quick at clearing away plates and you never had to wait for a table. There was always plenty of sun beds available. The pool was lovely and very clean. You could get coffees at the bar, cappuccinos, espressos etc. The animation team were very friendly without being pushy. The entertainment at night was however very poor. We still enjoyed sitting on the terrace and having a drink though. The beach was very rocky and not very picturesque. We did buy some beach shoes in the hotel shop, which were great and made it easy to get into the sea. The staff are all very friendly and a credit to the hotel. On one night they had a fashion show in the amphitheatre and it was all the cleaning staff taking part. They then went into the bar and the dj played music and all the cleaning staff got up and were dancing. They encouraged the guests to get up also and it was a really good atmosphere. Roberta from the team, got myself up along with several other guests and she was such a lovely person and made everybody feel as though they could join in with their celebrations. The hotel is a bit remote, however we knew this before we booked. The train station however is only about 5 minutes away in a taxi. The hotel runs a shuttle bus to Cefalu for 15 euros return each, however it is only half day. So we took the shuttle bus there, but got the train back, as we wanted to spend the full day there. We had lunch in a lovely restaurant on the seafront. Cefalu is gorgeous with beautiful beach, cobbled streets, shops, bars, restaurants and a cathedral. We also took a taxi another day to the train station and went to Palermo. This was a must for us. We loved the hustle and bustle of Palermo, as well as all the sights and again had lunch and spent the day there. There are plenty of trains running back and forth, so it is easy to get around. We enjoyed our stay, it was peaceful and relaxing.
