Antico Casale di Scansano Residence

Je to skvělé místo, kde se můžete zbavit svého pracovního života a relaxovat. Pokoje nejsou nad špičkou, ale je to jednoduché a čisté, co potřebujete k tomu, abyste byli na dovolené. Snídaně byla neuvěřitelně chutná a měli jsme mnoho možností, jak si vybrat z počasí, kde jste jednoduchý snídaňový jedlík nebo velký snídaňový jedlík. Milovali jsme atmosféru a služby zákazníkům. Pohled z našeho pokoje byl prostě báječný. FYI to byl cestovní balíček, který zahrnoval každé ráno snídani na 6 nocí, které jsme tam byli.

Wow this place has changed since we stayed here in 1992, and very much for the better! Two beautiful swimming pools added, lovely park area, super dog friendly, a spa (which we didn’t visit) and still the Equestrian centre which we also didn’t visit, as we were only passing by for lunch. Lunch was delicious, the Macereta goes by a new name Roccapesta, still very lovely. All the service people we met here were very friendly and professional. A beautiful place for lunch / dinner with stunning views.

We were only able to spend 2 days in this magical place, but I would have gladly stayed a month. What a beautiful place, the resort is lovely, the staff is warm and super accommodating. We could not have had a better experience. Don't miss out on breakfast and dinner. The food is amazing! The pasta, their own olive oil (best we had in Italy), the beef tartare, the desserts, the limoncello!! Matteo and Elisa are a husband and wife superteam who run the resort. We were lucky to have Elisa host us at dinner both nights. She is delightful. They even helped us arrange for transportation and two local winery tours. The rooms were very comfortable, we stayed in the apartments which were set a bit apart, but within a few minutes walk to the main resort. The grounds are beautiful, the views peaceful and with hills and Tuscan pines, vineyards everywhere you look. We also took advantage of the pool which was cool and refreshing. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for some magic in Tuscany and would love to revisit again. Elisa and Matteo you truly made our visit one we will never forget and that will always make us smile as we remember our time at Antico Casale di Scansano.

We spent 6 nights in this resort and truly loved it. The staff is really rocking :-) We had a very spacious 2-floor suite with a marvellous view on the Maremma countryside. The rooms are in traditional style. One point of improvement could be the airco which in our room was very noisy and not effective at all. As we had half board stay we ate at the restaurant every evening and it was a real delight! They specialise in dry aged local beef but everything we ate was really delicious and very local. The staff again is really friendly and hard working to make every table feel at ease. They have 2 very nice swimming pools with more than enough space for everyone on comfortable sun loungers. They also have a handy bar at the poolside for nice drinks and even light salad lunches. It's a really great place to visit the Maremma region and even the coast side.

My only regret is that I could only stay in this magic place just for one night. You can find this genuine retreat in a deep green quiet and relaxing valley, with specific Toscanian vegetation. The rooms are simple and authentic, cozy and very pleasant. The bed and mattress is extremely comfortable, so we had a very good rest, comparing with other 4 stars hotels. The food at the restaurant is a gemstone, you can find both Maremman and international dishes, simple but powerful, thanks to talented local chef Marcella. The meat is fine cutted, some fresh, some aged, and cooked perfectly. We had an amazing time in this beautiful place and I want to congratulate all the staff for great service and especially to Matteo, the new Manager, for his effort in changing and for his innovative approach on this retreat, lovely Elisa at the reception, for being so lovely, gentle and friendly. If you are looking for excellence with simplicity in a stunning country place in Toscany, you should come here and have a real beautiful local experience. I will return for sure.
