Palace Lido Hotel & Suites

What a wonderful Hotel this is. The reception team are very professional and helpful. We booked two superior rooms, they were excellent with top quality facilities and wonderful balcony view. Breakfast on the rooftop was first class. Hotel is right there on the beach and near the restaurants and bars. Perfect for my daily swim in the sea. Easy access from Cecina station, just a 30 min walk or short taxi ride I am sure my family and I will return. Thank you Palace Hotel.

We chose this hotel based on its proximity to the water and the class of rooms it offered. We traveled by train for 2 hours to get to Cecina. There are very few taxis and the hotel was no help with transportation. We had to catch a ride from a nice old man who was dropping someone off at the train station. We should have just gotten back on the train and left. When we got to the hotel we were informed that the air conditioning in our room was broken. That is understandable but the entire hotel was booked and there were no rooms for us other than the hot one. We couldn’t leave because we had no transportation and the trains had already left. So, we stayed in a hot room the first night. Management promised, on numerous occasions, that we would be credited for the inconvenience and discomfort. We tried to get all of this resolved before we left the hotel (early) but were told some story about how we had to go through our booking agent (hotels.com) before we could receive any credit. What a joke. After multiple attempts we FINALLY got a credit for our unused night, but nothing for the hot $600 room we stayed in. To their credit, hotels.com tried but could not get management to offer any credit for us having to stay in a room during the hot July heatwave. Do not stay here. The management only cares about how much they can charge you and only pay lip service to you when you have a legitimate complaint. They did not keep their word to us and I feel completely ripped off.

Stunning modern hotel with stunning view from the bedroom window. Our room really had the wow factor, with a panoramic view of the infinity pool and sea below. The bedroom was very luxurious and comfortable, the only drawback being the electric panels around the room that remained lit day and night. The rooftop pool was also fabulous, and we thoroughly enjoyed lying on the sun loungers by the pool. The breakfast on the top floor was good although they seemed a little short-staffed and so we waited a long time for drinks and cooked items. Overall we loved the hotel and really wished we could have stayed more than one night.

This hotel is a 5 star Trip Advisor rated hotel, 45 mins transfer (Tuscany Travel - also excellent) . The rooms are immaculate with great attention to detail. Very modern throughout with excellent decor. The balcony’s allow plenty of space to take in the sea views (although ours was partial) it was still great! The real focal point of the hotel is the 5th floor view from the sun bathing and pool area. It must be the best view of the town and surrounding area. We tried another bar for pre dinner drinks but returned to the hotel as no where matched the 5th floor bar area! A boutique hotel which is a 30 mins flat walk to the train station with easy access to Pisa, Florence or even Rome! Cecina is a chilled out Tuscan town with lots of restaurants and cafe’s. Finally there is a supermarket 2 mins from the hotel which has everything you need.

Outstanding hotel. Amazing views, excellent breakfast, accommodating staff. We spent 3 nights and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Wish we could have spent another few nights at this location. Can’t wait to come back for another holiday!
