Relais Mastrojanni

Everything was great. Amazing service, food, wine and views. Even in November the weather was great, and you could enjoy hours in the sun. A very special place in the Tuscan countryside.

We recently spent 5 spectacular days at Mastrojanni Relais exploring the sites, wines, cuisine, history and beauty of Tuscany. This relais is a gem located in a famous working vineyard. It is charming in every aspect. The rooms, restaurant and buildings are absolutely lovely, and the staff is as friendly, accommodating and welcoming as any we have ever experienced. The food and renowned Mastrojannais Brunello wines produced at the vineyard and served at the restaurant were outstanding along with the service. We could not have been happier with our stay at Mastrojanni Relais!

Mastrojanni Relais is an amazing place to stay! Everything about it was fantastic. The views are absolutely stunning. My husband and I stayed in the Brunello Suite for five incredible days, and it was sleek, modern, and sparkling clean. It has a bright sunroom and then a door that leads to the actual suite, which contains a spacious bedroom/sitting area and a roomy bathroom which has every amenity you could possibly need. The shower is awesome! There is also a loft which can be used as another sleeping area. The king bed is so comfortable. The room has an espresso machine, teabags, and snacks; also a small refrigerator containing bottled sparkling and still water and juices which are replenished each day. We were welcomed by a complimentary bottle of Mastrojanni wine and biscotti. The suite is above the restaurant, and it's a short walk down the stairs to breakfast - a feast of delicious pastries, fruit, cheeses, meats, fresh juices, and a menu where you can order eggs florentine, crostini, an omelette, etc., accompanied by a cappuccino or whatever kind of coffee you want. We sat outside on their lovely patio and enjoyed the vast view of the hills and vineyards. We also ate dinner there several times, and the chef's dishes were flavorful and tasty. Although we did not use the spa or gym, we spent late sunny afternoons at the beautiful infinity pool enjoying prosecco and aperol spritzes with English guests we met there. We took a tour of the winemaking facility with Annalisa, and their Brunello was excellent. All of this and more was superb, but it was made so by the friendly and lovely staff who looked after us and provided outstanding service. Many thanks to Matteo at reception and Federico, Giada, and Stefano in the restaurant, along with the lovely female at breakfast who also teaches yoga (please forgive me that I am drawing a blank on her name!). We will never forget our time spent at Mastrojanni Relais, and we highly recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing and luxurious experience.

What a beautiful place to stay in Tuscany. The rooms were quite sizable and comfortable, with a modern fresh decor. The restaurant on site was very delicious. Not a huge menu, but everything on it was outstanding. Their wine was delicious also, and they left a welcome bottle in our room. The service was always friendly and extremely accommodating. Although breakfast was served at 8am, one morning we had an early appointment, and they opened the restaurant to us at 7:15 so we could eat before we left. WiFi was a little tricky to connect with, but once connected there were no issues. This was such a beautiful and relaxing stay and very close to the city of Montalcino. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Tuscany. Thank you!!

The relais is a beautiful sanctuary. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The site is wonderful with amazing views in all directions. Our room was luxurious and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the restaurant where we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and three special dinners. Overall, we highly recommend the Mastrojanni Relais.
