I wanted to say a huge thank you to Rejae in the sports bar for his amazing service, when I couldn’t sleep due to the jet lag. He looked after me, made me feel so welcome. Answered so many questions I had about Jamaica & the Jamaican culture. His work ethic was amazing & thank you for saving me from the land crabs! Appreciate it, so kind and informative.

Definitely not 5☆ Possibly makes 4☆ at a push. Dont worry its not all doom and gloom ! The staff are lovely, friendly and try to make your holiday special. Thankyou for that. Check in took a while and only a handful of us arriving at 10pm, no drinks offered while waiting and lobby is not air-conditioned. Just a bottle of chilled water on arrival would make a big difference. Arrived at room by buggy, be aware when booking that there are no lifts in villas, the stairs are tough in the heat to the top floor. We had 2 rooms, these were requested on booking holiday to be together as we travelled with kids (older) we were located on arrival in 2 different villas and no room availability to change to be closer. No linen was provided for the 2nd bed, which is a sofa pull out bed so at midnight we needed to locate some from reception, not ideal. The rooms are mainly ok, always cleaned well but we did have issues with getting clean towels for 2 days in a row, they took ours and did not put any in to replace, the fridge was also not stocked a few times, again having to contact reception. The bathrooms need a refurb, tiles are grubby, toiletries that are provided are really nice. Hairdryer in room. Air con in bedroom is absolutely shocking. Food, never ate in buffet so cannot comment. Get your restaurants booked when you arrive, if like us there are 2 rooms this can be done easier at guest relations who are helpful. All restaurants were really good, we manageed to eat at all of them, Mexican and Jamaican being favourites. Jerk huts were fab. Pool and beach. Well, if you want a sunlounger be aware you need to be up at the crack of dawn, the earliest we went was 7.30 am to find every lounger around the pool area taken by a towel ! People would start arriving around 9 to 10 am if not later, some after lunchtime to their reserved beds and staff are allowing it, this does not allow for a stress free relaxing holiday in my eyes. Staff need to be removing the towels if noone is present after an hour as stated on the boards. The pool is huge and never seems overcrowded, the main part of the pool is nice but be aware the side part nearest the towel hut is murky and after relaxing on the floats for 30 mins we noticed we were covered in a scum like substance on our skin and needed to shower. The beach is small but nice, water is warm and there are lots of fish to see, snorkeling at sunset cove to the right is amazing, we saw so much without needing to leave the resort. The beach at sunset cove is gorgeous and so relaxing, no loud music like round the pool. Just pure chill like you want in Jamaica. 3 days before leaving we were accosted on our way to the beach by a lady asking if we had received our welcome gift, we replied no, she said come with me and ill sort it ??!! Please if you value your time and sanity do not fall for this, they took us into a private bar area and tried for an hour and a half to sell us holidays, we were not interested and said this but to no avail. Overall we loved Jamaica and the people, so happy and friendly, they made it for us. The hotel, I wouldnt return and maybe tour operators need to look at selling this as 5☆ as its not.

All the experience was great if you go to the second floor ask for Vidal Garrison he is your man, the best bartender from the whole hotel. Ask for the Mike Tyson.

I love the property and the general atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and polite. The activities and the number of restaurants are an added treat. However, it would be wise to choose restaurants strategically. The Jamaican restaurant was decent - some of the others - go at your own risk.

The overall stay was very good. I think there be more advisement around the resort to inform visitors of the daily activities. Instead of having to go online.
