This review is for anyone who is wondering if this adult resort is right for them. If you are in your twenties and thirties, this resort could be great for you. If you are in your forties or older, you may want to select another resort. This resort caters to people who would like a DJ at the pool all day long, playing music loud enough to be heard in every room on the resort. Thinking about relaxing by the pool or on your balcony and reading a book? Think again. It is loud all day long. Well, then maybe you can go to the beach? Yes, the beach is a bit quieter, but the best part of the beach is roped off for those who purchase the Privilege option. I had this option, so I was in luck, but I met others who weren’t. Well, what about the food? As with most Jamaican resorts, the food is cooked thoroughly and there is lots of variety. There are many different restaurants to choose from, but the Japanese chef doesn’t do very good Teppanyaki tricks. This resort does Jamaican food and desserts extremely well, to the delight of most guests, but the French and Italian restaurants should close. And remember to bring your phone with you to every restaurant, because instead of paper menus, they want you to scan a QR code every time you need to see a menu. So much for being able to unplug from technology and relax. If you are looking for things to do other than lie in the sun all day, then there aren’t many good options. The tennis courts are located so far away from the main building that you feel like you have wondered off the property and there is no bar, snack restaurants or washrooms nearby. There is a hookah bar for young smokers, a gym filled with young male guests all morning. and a souvenir shop that doesn’t sell any journals, stationary or even a pen or pencil. If those ideas don’t interest you, well then too bad, there isn’t much else to do. I can only speak for my room, but I would say the room is good enough. It would be really nice to have a chair to use when sitting at the desk in the room and it would be nice to have some stationary and a pen in the room to write a note with the tip you leave for the maid (especially since the maid says they need one to accept the tip). The bathroom is okay but could be improved with a real door to the toilet area, instead of a glass shower door. The shower also could be improved by moving the bracket for the handheld shower wand to another wall and placed much higher so that it could be used as a conventional showerhead and the rain shower head at the top wouldn’t need to be used. I am speaking for all women who don’t want to have their long hair soaked by the rain showerhead each time they take a shower. They could also put a few hooks on the wall in the shower, to hang your towel or robe on. The towel hooks are located across the room over the bathtub, which isn’t very helpful. In the evening, there is very little to do. I am used to resorts that have a nice outdoor show every night, free to all guests. They have limited shows indoors, some of which you have to pay for and the music is too loud. If you choose to attend, bring some earplugs to protect your ears. There is a night club that opens much later, but that is for the young people who want to party all night long. I would have liked this resort when I was in my twenties and thirties, and although I look like I am in my thirties, I have passed that stage. I think a resort should have a few options for the more mature crowd. There seems to be a misconception that everyone goes to Jamaica for the sun and water but for older clients it is more about being able to unplug from technology, rest and not have to cook and clean for a week. My suggestions are that they could turn the French restaurant into an airconditioned yoga studio in the day and a place for an early dance party in the evening. They could also move the lazy river into the all-ages resort, and use that pool between the two resorts as a quiet pool area that doesn’t have a DJ. They could also have dancing in the lobby by the bar from 9 to 11 pm. Finally, they could move the Steak house to where the Italian restaurant is and use that location as an air conditioned, indoor pickle ball court. The one thing this resort doesn’t have to change is the staff. They are the happiest and kindest staff I have ever met at any resort and I have been travelling to resorts for over thirty years. Overall, I would definitely recommend Jamaica, but suggest a different resort if you are part of the mature crowd.

We had a great experience at the Ocean Eden Bay. Our partial ocean view room was beautiful. Customer service was excellent! Food was also really great. We really enjoyed the hibachi and steakhouse restaurants. Only minor downfalls: Was about a 45 minute drive from the airport. Would be great if they had a quick food/grab and go option at the pool. Recommend hand sanitizer at the buffet. Music at the pool and in the sports bar was a little too loud at times. Having it turned quieter to allow for easier conversing would be good. Overall we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend!

Great property with a family side and an adult exclusive side. I was welcomed by Homroy at the door and he made sure we were well taken care of the second we arrived. The food at the buffet was always fresh and varied. The steakhouse is also one of my personal favorite
