Ocean Eden Bay

A big shout out to the Preffered Club team, from check in at the preffered lounge everything was wonderful and the team couldn't have been more hospitable and professional. The lounge comes with high end drinks and food throughout the day either from a buffet at breakfast or menu's for lunch and dinner, I particularly enjoyed the salmon and spinach. The room was amazing with a beautiful view over the beach and ocean. I didn't take advantage of the butlers as I'm quite indipendant however they always checked in on me to ensure everything was ok.

I stayed this resort for 5 nights last October, it’s beautiful view all around the resort with several pools well maintained, and it was good for the food, the room was clean. But only thing I think it’s the beach, which is small and coral around. And also it’s almost one hour driving far away from Montego Bay. It’s not very convenient if you like to visit Montego Bay downtown.

Property: The atmosphere was amazing this property is beautiful the beach is nice at night you can see the hills in the background it was truly stunning. Loved the pool areas and the views at all the restaurants, decor was on point. This property is located outside of the city of Montego Bay it’s about an hour drive. We had no issues with other guests or noise levels it was pretty quiet. The overall value was overrated in my opinion. I’ve been to luxury resorts and had a blast this resort was asking for luxury prices but giving budget friendly experiences. Rooms: now we booked a privileged junior suite swim out for a girls trip, let me say walking in was cute but as we had more time in the room we could really see the wear and tear. The room was NOT dirty itself just minor damage to the room that in my opinion could’ve been easily fixed. Butler services: again we paid for privilege so I’m not sure if it’s anything higher than that but that included a butler/ butler services, easier check in/check out, dining areas and beach area for privilege customers only. Upon our arrival the check in was a bit delayed due to our assigned butler was busy. We waited for about 20mins then another butler decided to assist us and informed us that our assigned butler was on her way up to show us to the room. The butler arrived and took us to the room and explained a few things to us and let us know that an additional butler would also be assigned to us. However this was our first time in Jamaica and dealing with an assigned butler. They failed to explain to download WhatsApp and to contact them via the WhatsApp we were under the impression that we could communicate with them via the resort app which you could download or use via the tv in the room. Needless to say we didn’t have any contact with our butler so we decided to go to the Front Desk to gain some insight. Management quickly apologized and reassigned us another butler which made our experience very special as this is what we paid for. So in the WhatsApp once you get the contact information they created a group with both butlers and all parties in that room. Once they clock in it sends automatic communication to you and it sends a list of what’s happening on the property each day along with the time and any additional information. It will also do this once they clock out. Which was a night and day experience for us because we literally walked around for two days to see what was going on by ourselves. But shoutout to the head butler because once he heard wind of our experience he made sure to check on us and of course reassigned us he went over and beyond to rectify the situation and we appreciate that. Food: I will say this it’s not anything outstanding it’s basic resort food. During my research so many people said the food was so good but unfortunately my group and I didn’t have that experience. It wasn’t bad food but it wasn’t anything to write about. The Jamaican food was good I rate that 7/10 unfortunately I’ve had better in the states I do know that most people will say go off the resorts for true authentic food however we didn’t get a chance to do that but it did curve my craving for Jamaica food. Overall I rate my experience 7/10.
