Arena Castillo Apartments

The hotel is clean and well appointed and overall enjoyed our stay. The rooms could be improved with more storage and the pool is small with not enough sun loungers (with the standard towel reserving issues). However, the pool was clean and well maintained. I would have given it five stars but we arrived late evening to find a pull out bed had not been made and they just wouldn’t help resolve this, and for six of our 11 days there was no air conditioning (a main reason we booked this hotel) which meant the room was unbearable hot!

Lovely clean hotel, beautiful pool and roof top terrace. We visited as a family of three, myself, partner and 17 year old son. We were allocated room 1204 on arrival this is a beautifully spacious room with 2 bathrooms and 2 shower rooms. Unfortunately during our stay there was a problem with the air conditioning unit which resulted in our a/c not working correctly and us having a room registering a temperature of between 25.5 and 24.5 degrees Celsius. The reception team offered to hire portable a/c after lots of visits to discuss this with them. This never arrived and a small portable fan was placed in the room, which made very little difference. After arriving on the Sunday evening, we were offered to move room on the Thursday before we were due to leave on the Sunday. This room was a little smaller, still very clean and with air conditioning that worked. Location wise this area of Caleta de Fuste is very quiet and laid back, the beach is only a 5 - 10 minute walk away and there quite a few different restaurants in the immediate vicinity

We just came home from our stay at the Arena Castillo. It was a great place to stay and ideal loaction too. The apartment was spacious and clean. The pool was lovely! The entertainment staff were really incredible, so welcoming and friendly. Maria and a guy (We didnt get his name) they were really amazing with my son Callum and made the time at the pool fun. The only thing I would mention is back door was a short walk to the pool but you couldn't lock this from the outside, in order to lock the room when you leave you needed to go out the front door which was a much longer walk for us, only would have been more convenient but not really a moan. The reception staff were lovely too.

Room and overall hotel was good with regards to location and general facilities. Big shout out to Joel and Maria on Entertainment who are a real credit to the hotel. Negative points were that we had ants in our bathroom which while being initially sorted, did come back later in our stay + the arena bar itself was quite poor service wise although appreciate its new.

Entertainment team Maria and Joel were absolutely amazing, hotel was lovely, very clean and tidy, just couldn’t give 5 stars due to the air conditioning not working for 8-9 days of our holiday
