Barcelo Margaritas

We stayed here for a week in May. The check in was quick and efficient however we were not given any information on what the half board included and found out that water was the only drink available at dinner free of charge It would be nice to have the option of a soft drink as well. We had a top floor room which was immaculate however the corridors could do with a bit of a refresh it was like walking down a travel lodge hallway. Our room never had any sun on it all day but that wasnt to much of an issue because siting on the balcony's is not the most private areas as all the other rooms look out over each other. The food was what you'd expect from any other buffet but always found something to eat. The location is ideal for a small stroll to the shops and bars and the free bus to the beach is ideal as it would take about 25 mins to walk there. Although we have nothing against the hotel we wouldn't return due the area. Playa Del Ingles is not for us.

Had a great holiday here. Food was lovely waiters were friendly and helpful. Plenty of sun beds round the pool at all times of day. Overall excellent place.

The customer service has been consistently excellent. After coming here for two consecutive years, it genuinely starts to feel a little like home. The staff are always very polite, smiling, welcoming, and willing to help with anything needed. The rooms are clean and reasonably spacious, which definitely contributes to a comfortable stay. One small suggestion I would make concerns the reception team: even if guests have visited before, it could be helpful to clearly remind them what is included with the wristband colour they receive for their stay. After a year, it is completely understandable that guests may not remember exactly what is or isn’t included, and this could help avoid awkward situations or misunderstandings during the holiday. That said, the welcome and hospitality from the staff have always been excellent. If I had to mention one area that could be improved, it would probably be the dinner variety. Compared to last year, the menu felt very similar, with limited variation in cooked vegetables, main courses, and desserts. Everything was fairly good, but overall quite basic and not particularly memorable or exciting. On the positive side, breakfast was definitely one of the highlights. There was a wide variety of food available, and the selection and quality of milk options was especially appreciated. Overall, this remains a place we enjoy returning to, thanks above all to the kindness and professionalism of the staff.

Had an amazing stay at the Barceló Margaritas. The hotel is lovely, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are absolutely massive with plenty of space. The food was amazing throughout our stay, with lots of choice and great quality. There are two great pools with bars nearby, making it perfect for relaxing during the day. The location is also ideal, with decent nightlife and the beach close by. Highly recommend this hotel and resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in Gran Canaria.

We have stayed in many Barcelo hotels before but the Margaritas is not up to their usual high standard. The food is not up to standard and was mostly cold. The rooms are comfortable and the lovely Soraya did a fantastic job keeping our room clean and tidy. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. They are a credit to the hotel. The communal areas/corridors to the rooms were very neglected and in need of upgrading. There was no issue getting sunbeds by the pool.
