Barcelo Margaritas

Wasn’t sure what to expect reading previous reviews. I can say I was pleasantly surprised on arrival. Hotel, compared to other Barceló’s we’ve stayed in, it is in need of some TLC. But in a whole for the price I paid I’m not complaining. I stayed HB. Breakfast is good, really anything you could eat for is supplied. Dinner, it was fine the usual buffet menus you get in most hotels. Always find something to eat. Hotel and room were cleaned everyday so cleanliness wasn’t an issue either. Can’t comment on day/night activities as spent the day at the beach and evening in and around the local area.

We stayed at the hotel from 16th of September 20th of September The location is great. There is a Supermarket across the road and a Spar few minutes away. The staff at the Reception was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious ,kept clean with 2 balconies and well equipped with 2 TV’s. The staff at the breakfast and dinner were friendly and there was a good variety at the breakfast and dinner had different themes everyday.- enjoyed Stunning swimming pools. We had an amazing experience. I will recommend this hotel to my family and friends. Thank you for having us and made our stay memorable .

I stayed for 11 nights first can i say thd hotel itself was lovely and friendly staff plenty sunbeds but the real let down for me was the food very repetative same evrry day if they didnt serve chips dont think id of eaten but to be fair the breakfast was very good and the food at poolside was a blessing myself and my husband asked before booking about entertainment to be told excellent but not informed that most entertainment was up on the childrens area which meant climbing 2 lots stairs and good walk i have mobilty issues which meant i spent each night in hotel bar and i must say 3 nights out 11 nights the entainment was ok 3 nights with none at all the rest was poor and you have to be aware that each night at barside you have plenty cockroaches coming to say hello would not rate 4 star but thats just my opinion i dont usually write reviews but felt this needed to be done

Just returned from a 9 night stay at this hotel and I wanted to give a honest review. The hotel overall is very nice clean and the grounds are well maintained. Rooms are modern and always kept clean and very comfortable beds. Entertainment in the evening is located up the stairs by the family pool if you want it or you can stay by the bar at the below pool area but it gets very busy later in the evening. Breakfast is fine and always plenty to eat but hot food can be cold as with alot of buffet food. Snacks in the snack bar is also fine. However evening dinner not great and food at times cold and undercooked so be mindful of checking. Also with themed nights every night unfortunately we chose to eat out as lots of fish and meat hard and like I said at times undercooked and not very warm. Overall a lovely hotel but updating is needed in hallways and new carpet as looks tired and working on food is a must and the family pool needs attention as the flooring is coming away as its concrete and can cause minor injuries due to rough uneven surfaces

Everything is great except for the SOS men who consistently walk around your sun beds when you are trying to relax. One in particular was very intimidating looking over on to girls laying on their beds and at one point was seen videoing girls in the pool. You were made to feel like you were under surveillance when you are supposed to be relaxing on your holiday. He was purposefully looking at the younger people and instead of paying attention to pool safety, they march around the sunbeds all day trying their hardest to find people vaping on their sun bed - coming up behind people, looking over their beds etc.
