HD Parque Cristobal Gran Canaria

Good location I’m in hotel from 21st of September for 1 week with my husband . is not great. Will be nice to have some back ground music round the pool area. I did ask today someone but nothing happened. Room are ok nothing special lack of storage in the bathroom? Need to keep everything in the the bedroom. All inclusive is nice food but everything is cold . Meat pasta potatoes everything cold 🥶 Biggest issue is when you get here at night Iike we did is dark and no one is going to show you where to go to find the room. No one to ask the give you map and is up to you. We was tied and very upset took us 40 minutes to find our location because it’s so dark.? no entertainment I think this is really designed for parents with small children

We recently stayed here with our 2-year-old in a Kids Suite, which we couldn't fault. The apartment was excellent with spacious rooms, comfy beds and a decent shower. Positives: -Entertainment Staff were amazing. They were so friendly, enthusiastic, and our toddler completely loved them. -Pools: Great variety of pools and our daughter loved the kids' pool -Dining: La Trattoria restaurant was really good and best food there. -Convenience: We paid €50 for a late check-out until 5:00 PM. This was fantastic value and a lifesaver for a toddler who still needs a afternoon nap. Negatives: -Resort Staff & Service: The service from general staff across the resort was unacceptable. We constantly felt like an inconvenience. An example was at the sports bar where a staff member literally switched off the Man United football match my husband and others were watching and just walked off. -Hidden Fees: The resort started to feel a bit like Ryanair. You are charged for basic extras that should be included, like €45 for an iron and €18 for the safe. -Buffet Food: The main restaurant selection was very repetitive. Most of the meat was dry and overcooked, though the Mexican theme night was pretty good. If you want to venture out, we highly recommend Wapa Tapa in the Yumbo Centrum (about a 15-minute walk) and El Poncho Steakhouse for great meals outside the hotel!

Had a wonderful time here, it is a very central location so you can easily get to the beach , shops , and nightlife. HD Parque Cristóbal is very family friendly but still good for couples and small groups . The reception is a delight, large and bright and smells lovely every time you enter, the staff give you a warm welcome and are very accommodating . They have a large staff that are constantly working to make your stay enjoyable. Gardeners , cleaning teams making the gardens and accommodation always look its best . We loved the food and there is a wide variety , if it’s not as hot as you’d like , you can always use the microwave , but we found it fine. We had the most delicious moist salmon twice whilst staying , and I think I tried everything over the whole holiday. I’m not an ice cream eater usually but they had a fantastic Walls tub that was never rock hard and the Raspberry swirl was hard to resist. The All Inclusive option is good value and the bar serves a good selection of cocktails , cava , wine and branded spirits, self serve soft drinks ( loved the Fanta Lemon sugar free) , and coffee machines . Great pools and sunbeds with parasols and an animation team that entertain constantly throughout the day with enthusiasm , at night they put on shows with creativity , like the futuristic Queen tribute with dancing and dystopian storyline. The accommodation is modern and spacious, we had a two bedroomed bungalow with our own sunbeds and parasol , air-con throughout a must . It was cleaned daily apart from a Sunday ( day off) . Wrist band that you use to open bungalow and gate to shop/ road ( so very safe) and no loosing your card key . Children have them too. Shop attached via gate , if you want to go to beach it’s the same road a straight walk , you pass the Kasbah on the way , great local dancing Fri/ Sat /Sun . Once by the beach you turn left for a lovely walk which brings you to a group of shops and restaurants, you turn right for the beach and more restaurants with street entertainment. Coming out of gate for shop if you walk along and make the first turning right instead of crossing road , you walk along and will come to Yumbo centre . If you come out and turn left and follow the road you can find local shops , big supermarkets , Lidl , cafes local clothes shops. If you want to walk to Maspalomas you can turn left coming out by the shop and follow the road round it will come to the top of the hill follow it down and that road leads to Maspalomas, which took us an hour to walk, you can also come out of the reception and turn right to access it and the hotel provides a bus a few times a day mornings to go to Maspalomas and afternoon times to return . Probably easier to try a run by free bus to find your bearings and then maybe attempt a walk or even get a local bus back €1.40 .We love it. I like somewhere there’s plenty to do and see as well as chill . There’s even a free bus to Morgan Mall the new shopping centre that can be picked up by Yumbo or Kasbah centres. This has it all.

We had a wonderfull holiday, sure we come back, the food excelent, staff very kind, cleaning was top, animacion very good, the children had a great time.

Firstly, there is alot to like here. The bungalows are lovely, staff are great and work so hard particularly the restaurant and entertainment staff. The food is fantastic with a great choice. We also had tickets to use at the waterpark which was a great day out. However there are a few negatives for me. The resort itself is very built up from the hotel to the beach and quite a walk but that's just personal preference so we wouldn't return. Another thing I disliked was them allowing visitors in on day passes. This affected both the Saturdays we were there as there was very little space around the pool and the restaurant was manic. Checking out was also disappointing as we had to check out at 12 for an evening flight and other hotels we have been to offer free towels and use of a room to get changed with a time slot. Here there are 2 showers near the toilets on a first come first served basis so was a bit manic when we went in. Quite disappointing and made our last day less enjoyable. Overall this is a lovely hote with good facilities for people with children but could be better with a few improvements. If you have booked you will have a nice time 👍
