TUI BLUE Tres Vidas

Hotel overall is ok nothing fancy. My upset us the fact we paid late checkout on booking , we were told on day we checked in that all was ok to keep room till 6pm , then on day before checkout we were told we would need to vacate the property as they’d booked someone else onto it and we were moved to an absolute dump at las pitas looks like it’s never been upgraded for about 30 years it smelled musty and was tiny compared to original room , ended up going out all day and using room As bag drop . Management didn’t care told us these things happened nothing he can do wouldn’t return

Fantastic Overall Hotel even for Couples. Myself and my fiance were looking for a simple one week getaway and found this hotel with TUI. We went in with average expectations due to the excellent price point, but most of our expectations were exceeded. We stayed in an apartment within the tres vidas complex, but the entire property included the hotel and another apartment complex. The apartment was incredibly clean and I was very impressed with the level of detail the cleaning team would go to every day. The apartment itself had excellent amenities and was much larger than other complexes I have stayed at. The pool area was very large and we found there was always a significant number of spare sunbeds even though there was a large number of guests. There is 0 reason for anyone to need to wake up early to reserve that this hotel. One small negative of this hotel would be the food options within the hotel are limited. We went self catering for this reason and upon testing the buffet restaurant one morning were glad we did. There is one on site a la carte restaurant called el sultan. We would highly recommend going for lunch as they have an excellent 3 tapas and 2 glasses of sangria for 15€. I would definitely recommend this to couples looking a for a quiet simple getaway. There is plenty restaurants very close by and playa des ingles is a €15 taxi away.

The set up: You have a main aging hotel called the Orquiedia (sorry if that's wrong) then it seems TUI have bought out the surrounding old self catering apartments and made this into a complex kind of set up. The good: The staff are often friendly, helpful and engaging and we did not have a single problem with any staff. Big grounds and a lot of space. Good size pools. The bad: Some cockroach action going on, see them often inside mainly inside the pool bar area but also at breakfast in the main dining room roaming out from the tea and coffee serving station. Beach is sharp, large and dangerous rocks and stones, there is not a beach here. You can get a bus to one if you want though. The hotel is aging and it's quite clear it needs a lot of refurbishment. It's all small things but clearly building up, silly things like no locks on the toilet doors, pool tiles peeling away, broken drainage grates around the pool etc. The Ugly: No one mentioned to us but we got it anyway, the death march up the hill is horrendous if you are at the top of tres vidas, not pleasant at all. The rooms are dated, old self catering apartments that have had TUI Blue stickers put in them, horrible beds, broken sofa bed, main bed 2 single beds on wheels, a cheap and nasty self catering apartment. Again door handles falling off, no hand soap in the bathroom, no bath, soap dispenser hanging off the wall etc. The set up is very benidorm, you could easily be there when you are at the pool, lots of help yourself lager and burgers. The Spa is a separate company and you have to pay to use it at anytime. The Taverna steak for the meal night was the single worst steak I have ever had, it was effectively a lump of fat and gristle burnt to look like meat it was horrendous. People were nice and it was good to be out of the buffet war zone for a night but food 1/5. The verdict: Absolutely not a TUI Blue hotel, absolutely not 4 star at all, 3 star grounds, food and pools with less for the "apartment" which is just an old self catering room. We had a good time, there was sun and we made it the best we could. The staff were also very nice and helpful they are clearly under resourced and do their best. We wouldn't come back, but that's not to say you couldn't have a good time here.
