Bancal Hotel & Spa

Quite and peaceful, staff are extremely friendly and helpful, food not to my taste and on the cold side, too windy to sunbathe around the pool

Bancal was a beautiful, calm hotel with some of the most attentive staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Theresa and Samuel at reception were outstanding. The architecture, grounds, rooms and pool areas are fabulous. As is the spa area. Every corner turned see’s some new sight or beautiful attention to detail. A point to note is that it is a ten minute or so taxi ride into San Sebastián if you want to have a wider choice of restaurants or if you wish to buy any basics as there is no shop in the hotel. I think it is tremendous value for money.

Lovely hotel. Well managed and maintained with all the facilities available. A little way out of town, so a car is recommended for at least part of your stay, particularly to enjoy the beautiful island properly. Architecturally fascinating complex with sustainable credentials, which appealed to me.

Spacious grounds, lots of pools. Delicious food! Large rooms, although I booked the most basic one. The staff is very friendly. I will definitely be back!

The Hotel is an experience in it self. The architecture is amazing and a modern take on the terracing and stone walls of la Gomera. Every detail is though trough. Good beds, clean, good service and all areas are inviting. It´s relaxing and spacious. The gym is a small, but pool area is great and no fighting over chairs.... Food is good. Recommend hiring a car and drive over the Island. Hiking is the thing here.
